I started watching CID sometime in 2001, so the trio and others were already there by then (loved the trio, Dr. Salunkhe and Asha from the start). I watched re-runs of Viren's episodes soon after that and while I was initially neutral, I liked him after that episode with the killer using electrocuting wires on a chair (forgot the title). The first major entrant I saw must've been Daksh. I was intrigued with his brother story and everything, but overall I liked Manav ji's acting more than the character himself. However, I appreciated Dr. Niyati from the start, despite her cold war with ACP sir. Aditi's nosy attitude towards Abhijeet was certainly annoying in the beginning, but I gradually started to accept her more.

Coming to the more recent entrants, I disliked both Dr. Tarika and Lavanya from their awful entry scenes themselves, though I'm now somewhat neutral towards Tarika. I found Vivek to be great for a newcomer in the Killer Eyes episode, and my opinion has only gotten better and better with time. I thought Tasha was okay-ish when she first entered; not bad, but not really impressive either. But then, she went on to show her true colours and despite being given very inadequate screen time, became one of my top favourites. Coming to Sachin and Kajal… I had previously seen Hrishikesh sir as Abhimanyu in CID SB and thought he was good enough there, but here I wasn't impressed by his acting (especially dialogue delivery) and involuntary act of splitting the duo. Now, however, I'm okay with him and appreciated his performance in some recent episodes.

It felt a bit odd to see Jasveer in the team after her rather nasty villainous roles in Mysterious Gift and Talking Parrot, but it didn't bother me that much (they're just actors, after all). I disliked that awful wardrobe and thought she used to noticeably overact initially, but I've grown to greatly appreciate her now and loved her acting in many episodes last year. I liked Purvi from the start and appreciate her now as well; I think she can do great if given enough opportunity. Nikhil… with all due respect, I thought his villainous avatar in AKAKR-10 was okay but so far I noticed nothing remarkable in his role in the team, from the start. I do hope he changes my opinion in the future.

2) As we see our duo continuing CID for such a long time and we love there acting and all type of acting skills...why are lady cops seen for so short duration and they leave the show????

what you feel are reasons for it???? do you feel it is good or bad????which are the lady cops that realy have stole your heart and which cops you expect to do so????

I think, with a few exceptions like Asha, the lady cops have rarely been given enough opportunity to perform up to their full potential, and therefore accept offers from daily soaps and dramas where they get a much expanded and prominent role. Also, some of them were newcomers looking for a breakthrough via an established and renowned show like ours, and left once that was done (or not). I certainly do feel its unfortunate (we even jokingly referred to it as a sort of cursed position like that of the DADA professor's in Harry Potter!) and feel it should be rectified.

Asha is undoubtedly the best and has raised the bar very high for all lady cops. Tasha was truly wonderful as well (especially in AC-8) and comes in second, perhaps Muskaan after that. I think both Kajal and Purvi definitely have the potential as well.

3) What are the type of cases now you all further look forward to see in CID...for example: a social issue...etc

I would certainly like to see a larger variety of plots like the old days, not just murder cases dealing with relationships and lucrative property. Cases featuring the team tackling domestic abuse, corrupt politicians and cops, terrorists (a proper depiction, unlike the Black Widow gang thing) and financial scams, for example, would be a treat to watch. But overall, what matters most is an engaging script with plenty of twists and turns, proper characterization and team distribution, and light moments when needed; those make even the most mundane (story-wise) episode engaging.

4) What are your expectations from the article that CID IS PLANNING TO COME UP AS MOVIE...

i mean to say what you look forward to see in movie...????

I'm interested and wary at the same time. Under no costs to I want it to even remotely resemble a cheesy Bollywood musical with Hawaiian dancers breaking into samba with our trio, or the duo effortlessly beating 50,000 thugs into a pulp … ugh! (though I guess some of that is inevitable, from what we've heard)

I want B.P Singh sir to get an experienced writer in this genre (best of all, the Raghavan brothers themselves) and produce a real "A Wednesday"-like thriller with a gritty and realistic story, stunning twists, formidable villain, well-cinematographed action sequences and ample opportunity for the team, especially the trio, to perform. I want it to do well with both the critics and audience; I do NOT want to see this adversely affect our show or team in ANY way. Can only pray.

may be, because of 3 DASHING ACTORS😳, they dunt have MUCH ROLE n SCREEN space... I feel OK... cz xcept ASHA👏, I m still watching that EMPTY PLACE...

I cannot say I have watched the duo's entry . I have watched all this on reruns and YT and bento's collection. Even this way if I have to comment then here it is.

Jayanth and Viren got my admiration from the word go. Daya I noticed was a silent yet quick to catch the point that most had not seen. I was caught admiring the actor Aditya as he had done the role of the gun thief so well and the amnesia ridden officer of CID with equal elan.

I did miss Jayanth and Viren as they were sharp police officers. But Abhijeet filled hte place well and there was no looking back. I felt he was their worthy successor. Later as I got hooked on to the show in 2009, I felt Vivek was a CID officer. It reminded me of the way Muskaan had come in and the case was also in the bureau along with the new officer😃 Tasha made me think of an eager beaver in her entry case but she proved her mettle.

Aditi caught my attention from day 1 and Ifelt she was finished off way too soon. She really could give the duo a run for their money.Petite for an officer but very spunky in a male world. Daksh was another officer with whose entry I was irritated in the third episode and later I felt sorry for him.

Cauvery, Lavanya and I missed someone were not explored any which way.

But none among the new entrants now gets my attention. Kajal I was irritated with and still is for her dressing sense. I may need more episodes from her to change my opinion about her. Nikhil no comments as i don't feel it is worth it as of now. Sachin had potential in SB. Wish that had been tapped into.

Dr. Anjalika I laud as she could call shots and stand by her words and work. She took responsibility for all her actions. She did garner a lot of animosity from CID fans but her character was strong enough to even apologise for the wrongs she did do.Here was another woman who could stand up to ACP Pradyuman and be treated as an equal.

Dr.Salunke was always there I always felt though that was actually not the fact.😆 I still feel he was never a once-upon-a-time -newcomer. Except for Anjalika none can be like Dr. Salunke when in the presence of ACP Pradyuman. Not even Niyati.

It is sad that lady cops have done seen now gone soon in this show. All time best according to me is Asha. She defined how a woman in such a high stress job should be. She was beautiful yet never gave into it. She was always no-nonsense. Yet she knew her beauty could sway things her way . But, never used it. She was the same age as Abhijeet, Daya, Freddy, Sudhakar and held her own among the men. Till date she is the only lady officer to drive ACP, Daya and Abhijeet while discussing a case as an equal. Doesn't that say a lot about her?

Aditi comes next. She was and is till date the only lady officer to rub Abhijeet the wrong way, work with him as an equal and later get respect from him. Her tenure was too short for the potential she displayed.

All the other lady officers are first and foremost very young to Daya, Abhijeet and Freddy. So where is the question of proving something? They are juniors who will always look upto their seniors for experience and guidance and appreiciation.

Many other very short term officers came like Anushka and went even before an impression was created.

Sad that FW is not looking into this heavy potential but no kinetic energy released area "women officers" . Many treat CID as a launching pad. Some have left as the role given to them was diminished in content . They left for better roles as actors are wont to do. It is after all their career they are thinking of.

3) What are the type of cases now you all further look forward to see in CID...for example: a social issue...etc😊

I would like to see a good investigation to take place. A strong concept and a plausible story with a lot of dialogues that unwinds the characters in the plot which in turn makes us smile from our heart. No tthe buffonery Freddy is subjected to these days. Need not be murder always. Like olden cases all subject matters under the sun.

No expectations what so ever. I don't want to come away feeling stabbed in the back. But listening to what the movie might be I feel sad. I certainly don't want the present silly flirting to be the core or any concept. If that can have a death it will be welcome. Same way a song and dance routine of the dua in various costumes and exotic locales will reduce the movie to be a garish flick.

I would like to see a true detective movie where the edge of the seat suspense interspersed with light good humour will be the order of the day.

HOPE you will love to give answere s to all the questions as per your taste and preference...

Hmm...First entrant I saw was Jayant... He was okayish... I saw the case where Viren leaves CID..but didn't miss him much ...I was super obsessed with Daya sir and finally ACP the main person was there... Then came Abhi sir... Again...Didn't know how long he was gonna stay...I was never satisfied with the memory loss scene... I felt..ohh its like another soap drama... but then...slowly..as Duo's relationship was built... my admiration for Abhi sir also increased

Vivek and Daksh's entry was just...ok-ok...again didn't bother much... I was shocked to see Sachin... I fisrt time saw Sachin when I just entered the house and my Jiju was watching CID... I saw the new guy and didn't like him... I asked who this new person is..and he said..Sachin... I was like 🤔 😛😳 My Jiju's name is also Sachin .. So i just shut my mouth and continued watching the case 😆

I feel that lady officers have less scope in CID... as one has to be harsh to the criminal and most of the criminals are men..so... they just cant show women slapping men ... and ladies once they get a role in CID... based on their performance they tend to get better roles... in other soaps... so they just quit...for better career...

I liked Asha.. she was the best...

I would like to see bigger cases... on every drop of a pin CID is not called... there are other departments too in Police services... Its only very complicated cases... high risk cases or cases which become a social issue and polictical issue are solved by the real CID.

I donno...looking at the deteriorating quality of the plots..i would prefer CID not to make fun of itself royally... There have been some really nice detection based movie...sans the emotional drama... May be not that popular but they were actually very very nice... I wonder if CID can make it possible... I don't want them to show Daya sir stopping two cars with two hands... Abhi sir escaping the bullet shots like in matrix... A & T singing a duet in middle of a case ... one of duo dying or trying to kill himself and waking up again... nothing like... I want it to be a perfect perfect suspense..and thriller movie...without the drama...if they can't make one...i would prefer they don't waste money on it...and instead find some good writers with that money

firstly, thank u padmpriya for opening such a wonderful thread..
i hav never seen our duo's entry...i saw daksh's entry..it was quiet good...there was some kind of charm in his smile but on a serious note he never impressed me as a cop...ya but a special mention here is i did not like abhi sir behaving bad with him all the time(atleast i felt so)...daya sir was more liberal towards him...but at the end wat he did for CID i thought abhi sir was right from day 1
in the re runs i saw viren and jayant...but it was too late for me to hav any kind of feeling for them..i was already smitten by our duo
i did not like aditi's entry as she came suspecting abhi sir...but gradually she made her impression especially in 'man eater' she did a fab job..and i appreciated her bravery in her death waala case
i liked sai before she came in CID and was expesting much from her..but her role as priyanka was i think 3 epi old..so no time to make impression only
then came anoushka...i liked her always..her era cases were too good..but even she had a short life in CID..
nxt came muskan...her entry was fab though, but i never liked her..she used to overact and i started hating her for what she did to devyana...it did not look like CID...it was like a drama where 1 tries to win over others
devyana never had any impression on me at all...i dint like her meek behaviour
dont even ask about kaveri and lavanya..i never liked them and they were the worst element of CID so far
vivek's entry was good.. i liked him in the audition only..i had voted for him and he turned out to be the winner..i was super happy and he went on to be just best..
i liked hrishikesh in CID SB and when i saw him rejoin as sachin i was glad...i had lot of expectation from him..but he started overshadowing our duo...so i dont like him..though he is improving these days
i like jasveer as actor dancer and all the villainous roles she has played but her acting is not impressive as a cop...she can improve
towards purvi i hav nuetral feelings
coming to forensic..i did not like dr.niyati's entry...but when she reentered the show she did a fab job

obvious reason that they get more sreen space in some other program..i feel it is not good because i feel the lady cops use CID as a platform to show their acting talent and when they get a soap they ditch CID..
i havnt seen much of asha but for short time i saw her in re runs i think she shared a good bond with our duo...
but my fav remains tasha..and coming to expectation...i had a lot of expectation with anushka...she looked like a real cop..

nothing in particular..i want a perfect crime with perfect detection without any loopholes...and since i am watching CID for so many years..some duo scenes would be nice...and i want a lot of action...dishum dishum...which should look realistic..

i just hope its not a disaster..big screen is a really big thing...i dont want their tamasha to be made in such a wide screen...on an optimistic note..i hope it is a hard core crime and some real brains put by our team so that it is nail biting and keeps us stuck yo chair until it is over..

since im watching CID fr just 2 years,i will take the entry of Nikhil...i dunno why but i dont lyk him...but he can improve his dialogue elivery an expressions...if he oes i may chnge...otherwise i nt like him...

My opinion is that since most criminals are males here there is less chance of lady cps gtng chance and mreovr they are the ones who gt commited in other serials also..getting interested in that,they may leave CID.

reasons i ve tld there...its not soo good nor is it soo bad..but it may take smetime for them to cope with the team.The cop who stole my heart was Tasha whom i really miss a lot😭😭😭...and even kajal who irritated me wen tasha was ther...but nw like like kajal...

My answers...
1.at the time when purvi entered CID i thought she is unnecessary & may be she'll be worst than kajol but my views r changed...but i feel she is better than kajol..
2.i think lady cops r not seen 4 a long time bcause may be the director thinks tat all lady cops should be young if they continue 4 a long time like the duo they'll look old & will not be liked
& its good they dont continue or we'll have to see Aji-Tji like seens everywhere
3.any type of episode where our duo will be seen 2gether and no Tji in the whole episode
4.an extra thrilling film should be made with trios like the CID-AAHAT episode
(sorry this post is too boring...)

well the entrants whom i saw was:
1- Muskaan : well her entry was impressive...she seemed like a brave cop who can be identified with her own mark in the male based team...my view on her was continuously went on good as the series progressed..but i just had one thing going negative about her...that was her attitude and i found her quite rude but i ignored all that...but her behavior with devyanna ruined her image in my mind and i started disliking her...i was not at all sad when she left...
2-Devyanna - i didn't liked her entry and also she seemed miss goody to shoes...the way her character was progressed was not affecting...on her entry i didn't had any expectation from her but after a while she get my notice by her great cracking abilities...well i can say i had mixed feelings about her but was sad as she left when she was imroving...
3-Kaveri lavanya - they came n went...no impact either negative or positive...they were a blow of wind...
4- Tasha - well her entry was really a melodrama...her entry didn't made me expect anythng from her but as the series progressed she went above my expectation from any new entrant...she was so amazing and my fav after aditi...her improvement was very rapid and she became inseparable part of the team...i never thought that she too would leave one day..
5-Sachin and kajal - well both's impact was not at all nice on me...i didn't like their entry and after a long also i was not able to accept sachin as i somewhere felt that he was getting overexposure and hence our other officers and neglected...but now i am okay with him...and kajal well i didn't even noticed her till tasha was there...but after tasha exit kajal got chance to shine up...i used to dislike kajal lot but now i am liking her quite much...she rose my expectation quite a bit...but still something i don't like abt her is her dramatic essence...
6-Purvi n nikhil- well nikhil's entry was the biggest negative point of the show for me as he was replacement for vivek...but after vivek's return i still didn't liked nikhil due to his OTT nature for daya sir and also coz he is not showng any improvement even yet...purvi was very good from the very beginning...her expressions body language and the attitude everything is perfect...she is going good and improving too...
7-Vivek - well i am coming to vivek at the last...coz i have lot to say of him...he is my favorite entrant...and the best too...his entry was quite usual and he was quite dull too...so my expectation were not much...but then rest is known to all...that dull vivek joined the ossam foursome...i never counted any1 before who can fit with the foursome but he made it...he was really very stupendous...his rapport is so amazing with everyone...whether its the trio or freddy sir...his amazing bond with freddy sir is the best part...after sudhakar i thought that freddy sir is left alone but vivek came to the rescue...i loved his sweet pranks and his stunts and his famous flying kick...he is so aggressive and impatient about his work and so dedicated and this makes his character best...i really love him a lot and was just crestfallen when he left and was on 9th heaven to have him back...he is the flag bearer of the next gen of cid...

well its obviously a sad state but the reasons are quite obvious: some get better offers (tasha nd aditi and muskaan) while some leave the show due to some personal issues(asha devyanna muskaan)...but the basic reason is obviously the male dominancy...i never saw any other cop getting proper space except asha...and ofcorse who will not leave when they are given other good chances.everyone think of their better and its correct too...
well lady cops that stole my heart were aditi and tasha( i never saw asha)...aditi was really undescribable by words and tasha is known to all...and from whom now i expect this is purvi but i dont want her to leave...

umm well i don't have any particular choice for it...even a small social issue can take a dangerous path...so awareness i must so i really don't care what social issue it but i want cid to come up with different issues at intervals of time...

well if cid is gonna be a movie then i am definately gonna look up for it...i have mixed views about the movie...its good to have a movie for my fav show...it marks how popular cid is...i will be really great to enjoy a whole 3 hour performance of my favs...but i too am scared of the over hyped stuff...i fear that there will be more freddy's nonsense stuff and to add spice more of the flirting and all...if its not so then i am in favor of movie..
