CID team presents a new thriller

Sumeet will star in Akela

The serial will star Sumeet Raghavan and Sudanshu Pandey

After the success of CID (running for nine years now) and CID Special Bureau, there is another thriller in the offing by the same production house. Tentatively titled Akela, it will have Sudanshu Pandey and Sumeet Raghavan (Sahil of Sarabhai V Sarabhai) playing the leads.

Yash Patnaik, supervising producer, says, "It is a hardcore thriller blended with elements of supernatural. Sudanshu will play an ex-cop and Sumeet will play his friend." Fireworks Productions which has produced Aahat, Raat Hone Ko Hai and Achanak 37 Saal Baad will be making Akela. "We work on only those subjects that we are kicked about," says Patnaik. "Very few people have succeeded in making shows of this genre and we are one of them. The serial marks the comeback of the director pair Glen and Ankush."
