Guess who's a fan of Shivaji Satam and his CID team? India's nightingale Lata Mangeshkar, who has been religiously watching the popular TV series for the past many years.

A few days ago, she invited the entire CID team to her home and they were more than delighted to meet the legendary singer. "It was a dream come true," says Satam. "It was like meeting Goddess Saraswati in person. I have never seen somebody so humble and down-to-earth. The entire family was so warm towards us. We had a great time," he adds. Indeed they did, with Lataji telling them stories about the era when she got into singing. She also spoke about various CID episodes that she'd watched and how she felt that it was time officers Daya and Abhijeet found their right partners and got married, on screen of course! The team had carried a couple of fake guns along and Lataji tried her hand on one of them recounting her childhood days when she had a good aim.

It was a lot of fun for everyone present. Younger sister Usha Mangeshkar told BT, "We always enjoy watching CID. And it was really nice to have them over."
