Inspector Sachin of CID aka Hrishikesh Pandey aspires to make it big in Bollywood

Like every actor, Hrishikesh Pandey who is presently seen essaying the role of Inspector Sachin in Fireworks Productions' long running show on Sony Entertainment Television's CID aims to get into Bollywood one day and to get the same amount of appreciation that he has got for his roles in the small screen space.

In a conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Hrishikesh avers, "I have been in this industry for the past ten years and have been associated with quite a few daily soaps. And now I am very happy to be part of the team of CID. To tell you frankly, I have been lucky as I have been loved for whatever I have done so far. I would like to try out various other characters, but I guess I am very much liked for the cop's role."

He goes on to say, "I am here to stay till CID lasts and like every actor, I too dream of doing a movie. I love to watch movies, and that is my exercise as an actor."

We hope your Bollywood aspirations will come true, Hrishikesh.

Hrishikesh Pandey says, 'The biggest plus point of CID is that we do not show anything gruesome'

Hrishikesh Pandey, aka Inspector Sachin of Sony Entertainment Television and Fireworks Productions' CID has had a long career spanning nearly 12 years in the industry. After being part of saas bahu sagas, and having played varied roles starting from a Casanova to romantic ones to slightly negative roles, he is now enjoying the present phase wherein he plays a cop.

Talking about the fan following that he has had over the years, Hrishikesh says, "Earlier, I used to have more of the girls as my fans. Also, the saas bahu sagas were very much liked by the elderly people. But now, as Inspector Sachin it is more of the kids who follow us. The biggest plus point of CID is that we do not show anything gruesome; we have been there for so many years and still continue to reign supreme amongst the kids who are regular viewers of our show."

CID as a show does not give as much liberty for an actor to laugh and smile. But the actors on the sets do have a jolly good time whenever they have free time. "Yes it is true that we do not get to have a hearty laugh while shooting as our roles demand us to be like that. However, we do not mind that because we crack jokes on sets whenever we are not shooting. We sit together and sing at times. We also indulge in a game of badminton during our free time."

Ask him who the biggest prankster on the set is, and Hrishikesh says, "It is me and Daya (Shetty). 😆😆 We are like a family on sets and it is a great working atmosphere." 😃

The superstar will make his entry in one of TV's longest running show

From being an iconic crime fighting show on television, CID is fast becoming the place to go for all our big screen stars who are playing cops in their upcoming movies. After Aamir Khan shot for two special episodes where he uncovered a mystery along with ACP Pradyuman, it is Salman Khan's turn now to promote Dabangg 2.
The superstar will be entering CID as Inspector Chulbul Pandey. Incidentally, this will be Salman's second appearance on the show. He had earlier done a similar special appearance two years back while promoting his film Wanted. Wonder what antics will Sallu be up to this time!
