@VictoriaRed To begin with we never bashed Singh Saab, we all respect him too much to do that. We are just asking him to come and look into what's going on here. If fans are upset there has to be a reason. It's not that we do not understand that the creative team too is under pressure but what we fail to understand is why does FW follow everything that SONY tells them to do? The truth is FW Creative Team is not capable of give two good one hour episodes a week to SONY. Why did they agree to SONY's demands? Just to fill one hour of channel's air time the show has been totally butchered. All that we liked about the show is non-existent. So what have SONY and everyone else achieved from this double dose. Audience is still unhappy and more than ever before. We do not know how to approach SONY, how do we make ourselves heard to them. People here believe that some people from FW possibly visit this forum hence we try to make ourselves heard here.

We are the audience and that is all we can do give feedback. If SONY and FW are really making the show for us not just to fill SONY's airtime then they have to listen to us. I do not know what rating you are talking about but a lot people here are fans since the first day of CID and we are clearly disappointed with the way things are going. And whether anyone agrees or not the stories of the past weekend were rubbish. There have been many shows which have run for years but once their standard feel we left them. We did not go calling for the production house. It's because CID is dear to us that we come here and try to tell makers what we liked and did not like. CID has given us a lot and we are trying to see if by what we say, it comes back to what it was. It's sad that our views are only being considered as Bashing and eventually ignored but no one cares about the emotions. When we praise them to skies for the smallest good thing they do, no one complains then why complain when we say this is bad when it is bad. We are fans, all heart, brains is for FW and SONY to use, effectively

Well if this is true, I am totally disheartened and gradually I guess I will have to leave CID too like all the other shows. Everyone is interested in only money, Quality of Entertainment is a thing of the past. Let's see how long our TRIO can bind us with the show. As it is they are not seen together these days, the bond is fading away. We are 5% and do not matter to anyone. Well its FW's show, their money. Go on, run behind TRPs and ruin it till the boss takes it off air. From now on I know CID is not being made for the audience but just to fill SONY's airtime.

You seem to know how this business works. Tell me something, I know channel is the boss but does the Production House of the No. 1 show of a channel whose Re-Runs also generate TRPs has no say? No say at all? Or FW also gave in due to monetary gains?

It is not like Fireworks is dumb and can't say anything.. It is like they are getting profit for this.. Look BP Singh wanted to make Aahat more than 2 times on weekend and he has done it and also got most demanded time slog to broadcast it.. And if he is doing it on the sake of CID(have original fans and good TRP is guaranteed) for Aahat(there are a lot of shows giving competition to it and have a lesser TRP) He wants to earn money with his both hands(CID AND AAHAT) and Sony tv has got benefit by this.. Now who is suffering by this .. ?? is there anyone else except original and die hard fans of CID?? No na..if both Big house and Mini house are getting advantage of this utter nonsense what can be done? yeah one more thing, Sony Tv is taking advantage of this by sending their rejected kids to Fireworks .. let me make a chart -

BP Singh -------------------------------------- Sony Tv ------------------------------------------------------
(Needs to inc. business ) (fill time slog+ make some employed happy by giving change to act in CID)

+ It Leeds to CID Got Biweekly and Aahat got some extra time slogs to fill up)

Kabhi bhi ek hath se talli nahi bajti.. it is their group decision which is getting on our nerves... On the boil of Business enhancement, they are cooking Good Quality and originality of show .but they have over cooked this stuff and made it tasteless for costumers(jinki subah CID ki dose se shuru hoti hain raat CID ke dose se khatam - they can't digest this Utter) ...

Why does our feelings always taken to be "bashing"?? People need to unserstand that when someone is emotionally attached to some show then that person is gonna react to every movement of that show. Be is positively or negatively! We are the same ppl who defend CID in front of all those ppl who ctiticise it uselessly. Now, since the show has seen a downfall we r criticisng it, its termed as "bashing"! I wonde. When did anyone bash BP sir??? Thats lije impossible! We respect n love him a bit too much. He gave us CID, our passion! A show that gave us the best things in our life....

Now coming to issue abt TRPs! If TRPs that all mayters tgen hoe is Aahat still continuing? They never got much of TRPs... Correct me if i m wrong! We are not complaining against Aahat. We are just saying that CID is being taken for granted by Sony n alsi by FW! I hope they know that the actors are neither veryyy happy with the stories. If not us, then at least the actors matter to FW more than TRPs. Dont they?

@Victoria - I can see what you're trying to say, but realize that nobody is bashing B.P Singh sir here. Why would we do that to the person who gave us this wonderful show in the first place? We actually go forward to defend the show from people who bash it for no proper reason. At the same time we do expect the show to maintain its quality. Is it not natural for us to be disappointed when the quality is taking a steady downhill trend, disappointment increased by our passion and love for the show?

I realize that it's simply not possible to come up with a classic and outstanding story every week in such a short span of time. But when the work of certain individuals has been of a constantly poor quality - even before the time constraints began - there is something really wrong. It's not just matter of the storyline being weak - when outright illogical and highly unrealistic material is presented, things that could be corrected just by taking a little more insight into the plot, there's no excuses. Moreover this issue should've been seen and planned from the start - instead of hiring new actors they should've gotten new and talented writers and distributed the work evenly among them.

The bi-weekly system has been hastily and unevenly organized from the start and it's truly painful to see the efforts of the actors be underwhelmed because of a poor plot, and often screenplay. If you see the episode threads, you'll see there has been a constructive analysis of every episode as soon as it's aired (everything from the acting to technical details), yet for every good episode there seem to be ten mediocre ones. It pains me to give episodes of my favourite show a low rating, but isn't criticism in order if we want improvement?

And regarding the TRPs, I wouldn't be too elated in their initial acceptable level at this stage. People are being exposed to a wider range of work in this genre through multimedia, and it won't be long before the flaws in the current stories stand out like a deer in headlights. They should be rectified before that.

after reading all posts and observing all gd's let me express my view.the discussions against biweekly and against bad performances are ging on here for a long time.it is clear that the biweekly format will not change in future.cid is a cashcow now.and its down from being a star.it cannot be a star anymore.so indtead of adopting a withdrawal strategy sony decided to make profit out of it.they do have a second thought of howmany years they can follow the same way.so better to utilize the cashcow.and there comes the new format.we forum people never expect a perfect script each time.but it should be logical atleast.here we are not for blaming anyone.but better we stop our cries and whispers and be used to the tough format.better we stop investing our time on blaming, and do enjoy what they show.if cant, quit the show.a scandal can kill the existence too.better we realize the golden stage of cid is over and never come back again.its natural, and we are helpless.so focus on reruns, discussions and all , and pray for cid ....take some more time ....and dont move in to termination.

Before I start (I know its long) let me clarify, what seems bashing and harsh at times comes from concern and ultimately love for the show else we have no personal vendetta against anyone. We are constantly mocked at for going crazy over a TV show, considered even stupider for getting worried for it. Our parents tell us to grow up, behave our age. Our Siblings and Friends make fun of us and more about the show. We go defending it. So many of us are working people, some in collage, we have enough things to keep us busy but still we come back here every day because CID makes us happy. It's been part of like half our lives.

We talk about FW using its brains and taking the right decisions. Does that mean we hate them? No, we understand what difficulty they are facing. How can we hate a Production house which gave us our all time favorite show? We know our actors are working double shifts. Sometimes they are under water for 6 hours, sometimes up all night shooting. We know, it's difficult. People have seen our dislike for Sachin, does that mean we hate HP? No, no way. Why will we? We know he is working equally hard. Some people from the forum have met him and have only good things to say about him as a person. But when he is Sachin, most of us are not able to accept this new character and even more his over-exposure. The thought of disrespecting Singh Saab can never even cross our minds. We are all indebted to him. We love him and respect him even more. We just keep calling out to him to come back. It's been months since he directed CID.

We also realise that CID can't be what it used to be once upon a time, simply because we do not have the same people behind the scenes. We understand there are pressures, deadlines to meet and other difficulties; we are not stupid impractical fans. We have a decent level of intelligence too but when a fan speaks, it's mostly from the heart.

I totally agree with @DemonStar. It can be clearly seen that the bi-weekly system has not been planned properly, not much thought has gone into it. Every production house needs to understand their audience and should know the reasons why their particular show is liked. However FW and SONY have not given this aspect much thought. The promo when the Bi-Weekly started boasted about "Double Dose" but no one gave the thought to - at what cost. At the cost of what is liked in the show? Then what is the use of this double dose to the fans? Today all that we loved about the show is taken away. We are not expecting anything like CSI that is not even on our expectation list but a decent logical and practical flow is not too much to ask for.

It seems like SONY said - 'FIREWORKS we want CID twice a week'. Bang FW went and got 3 new people on board. Boom you suddenly have a Battalion Brigade of 11 people struggling for screen time, work distribution goes for a toss, investigations have no connection, in short a total mess. Did anyone give it a proper thought? Foresight? You suddenly get a new guy bossing over Freddie Sir who has been around for 12 years. It may seem like a silly thing to point out but for Fans, it matters. Did anyone realise why Vivek and Tasha manage to make a place in our hearts? Apart from improving their acts, they came at the end of the hierarchy and when there was a need. These 3 new people have come out of nowhere, for no reason. Since these new entries have come in Freddie Sir, Vivek and Taasha have been reduced to extras. There is nothing exceptional that Sachin and Kajal are doing that could not have been achieved among the three of them. And the worst, absolutely unnecessary entry is Dr Sonali Barwe, none other than Dr Salunkhe's bickering classmate (cringe-worthy). This defies all logic, when we already have 2 people which seemed like too much as it is, why did we need a third expert? A hasty decision without much thought. More than new actors we needed better script writers and directors who could share the work load. It's not just the actors who are over worked, the creative team is equally over worked.

Worse is they did not prepare their audience for this. 4 days before bi-weekly we get to know CID will now come twice a week with a 11 member team. CID is a rare show; it's not like any other Crime Investigation Series. This is about a team, mysteries yet character driven. We never understood why someone like SONY who is always on the OTT Promotion mode, never cared to promote that 'CID Turns Bi-Weekly'.

It is still time to give Bi-Weekly a serious thought and get things in order. If the Bi-Weekly is here to stay, thinking of what can be done to keep all the three parties happy SONY, FW and Fans.

Continue with Bi-Weekly but deal with only one case per week. Show one case in two parts with the original team. This will also give the creative team a breather to develop investigative plots. I don't see why this can't be done. We have already seen that cases like Khoon Ka Raaz Jahaz Mein, Sr. Inspector Abhijit and Manali Murder had a Running Time of 60 minutes each and Airtime of 90 minutes with the original team. So we can have two episodes covering one case of 30 minutes Running Time each. It is observed that Comedy Circus which is aired before CID on Fri-Sat runs till 10:10 PM, which means till 11:00 PM we have 50 minutes. So a CID episode with a running time of 30 Minutes and Airtime of 50 minutes can be created with the original team. This give SONY its bi-weekly, FW Creative Team a breather, lesser work load on the cast and we get our TEAM BACK.

FW please give this a serious thought, discuss it with SONY and tell them fans are suffering. This could be the best way to go forward. Don't pat your backs with initial TRPs, please get you act together before it is too late. If we get our original team back, their bonding back, TRPs will rise further. You will have a happy audience.
