I learnt about Ramayan by watching Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan. The serial on the whole was not as technically good as Mahabharat(which was very well made), but I loved Arun Govil, Arvind Trivedi(Ravan). Vijay Arora(Indrajit) and Sunil Lahiri (Lakshman).

@visrom .. yeah even i like sunil lahiri the most.. and ofcourse no comparison with Mahabharat at all....i never liked Deepika as Sita. she was not a good actor...

arvind trivedi is my fav too....i love Sunil's expressions. even his look , sound everything was like the lakshman original.

i like her too. she was there in some Tamil movies and vanished there after.

Sunil Lahiri played one of the best Laxman as of yet. He got his appropriate share for that too. I liked his aggression. Ready to do anything for the brother. He later worked in some Vikram Vetaal stories too. However Laxman played by him will never be erased from my memory.

Yes, I miss him too. What a lovely actor, he gave life to Lakshman on screen and I can see him and only him in that role. After Ramayan he just vanished. I am not sure how many of you know that he did make a comeback in a serial called KANGAN, directed by Asha Parekh (after Kora Kagaz) sometime in mid-2001. I was so happy to see him. KRITIKA RANE (our Highway girl) played the lead.
