And who can forget this sweetu.

Master Raju, what a talented kid. We can only imagine what this kid must have gone through when he grew up. A successful child star who could make no impact when he grew up.

There a film called Kitaab by Gulzaar, which I had seen long long ago. Master Raju played the leading role in that film. It has one song I used to like as a kid, it went something like

I remember Kitaab very well.He runs off in a train. I remember the very famous R D Burman number - Dhanno ki aankhon mein rat ka surma...lovely song, lovely music.

The first pic you posted is from the movie Parichay probably. Awwww he was absolutely superb in the movie. I remember a scene, he saying to his teacher, I think Casto Mukherjee, "Masterji Karna hain,Masterji Karna hain: Teacher asks kya karna hain and then he says "Kar diya" while his pant is already wet. And who can forget the lagda bhoot story recited by him

Whenever he does some kind of cheating or mischief he hides his one eye like the one in the pic. Superb performance by him in the childhood. I don't know what happened to him when he turned adult?

No idea of this Kitaab, Can anyone help me with the stars of Kitaab?

Well as blunt as it may sound he just did not grow up into a charming youngman. Its sad. I can imagine what he must have gone through. I have seen MJ's interview where he had mentioned about the phase where he was neither a kid nor a youngman and that was the most difficult phase of his life. None the less this lad gave us many memorable moments, may God always bless him.

We can see the boy who has run away from home sitting in the train. And the video shows that it has been released on DVD. (I didn't know....my local DVD guy only supplies virus)

Hey thanx Prabha and Visrom, well after reading the plot of the story on Wikipedia. I remember the blurry memory of The scene where the child sleeps besides the old women and picks a coin from her goes to drink water and then finds out that the women is already dead. Well I think I had seen this movie in my childhood on DD itself.

he was there in another serial...may be before Ramayan, as vikrmaditya. he look exactly like ram. and I never know about his family...thanks for the information.
