Yes me too. I feel blessed to have been part of the Golden Era. Its sad that today's kid will never know what it was all about. Those days of Ramayan and Mahabharat on Sundays when not a single person could be seen on the streets. Only one movie used to be telecast one Sunday evenings and we would wait for Sundays. Chitrahaar on Wednesdays. Chitrageet when film songs of various languages were shown on Fridays. Series like Udaan, Fauji, Circus, Mr Yogi, Paying Guest, Wagle Ki Duniya, Bharat Ek Khoj, Vikram Aur Betal, Dada Dadi Ki Kahaniyan, Katha Sagar, Mashaal, Gul Gulshan Gulfam, Farman, Chunauti, Dekh Bhai Dekh, Zabaan Sambhal Ke, Karamchand, Doosra Kewal, Life Line, Dil Dariya, Byomkesh Bakshi, Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Malgudi Days, Flop Show, Hum Log, Tamas, Indradhanush, Reporter, ...........I could go on and on. Wah yaar kya zamaana tha.
I think the decline started since Shanti, ever since the concept of daily soaps started, the quality started to fall. Earlier producers had to finish their stories in 13 episodes max and only if they gave valid reasons they could get an extension. So the story from start to finish had to be ready not like now where there is no story to start with.
