:An Announcement for all CID- members:

Off lately I had been receiving lot of complaints from this section, this used to be a rare occurrence before but not anymore which is why I am forced to create this announcement.

I apologize for being inactive for a while and also for not being a regular participant in the section activities, but I had been extremely sick and had been hospitalized for sometime along with some personal problems that I had to deal with. However I made it a point to keep checking all your complaints whenever I could log in and have gone through all the topics that has made till date whenever possible.

My heartfelt gratitude to Nadi for helping out in my absence. My gratitude to visrom for coming up with a separate post for "picture comments", Prabhanarayan, sunny, Prachi, sommu Debayon (sorry if I am missing out someone) for helping out with the videos updates and fan fiction archives.

Now coming back to why I am making this announcement. We (The CID Development members) never thought it was necessary to have a separate rules and regulations post in this section because we never faced any trouble makers or rule breakers or any sort of disturbance from CID section. Its really saddens me to say that this is not the case any more.

One example is the ANTI CID thread that was created in the section. When I checked the IP address of the member, I was really surprised and shocked to see that it was actually a fake ID created by a known member of this section to bash our favorite show and the amazing cast.Still I have forwarded the complaint to GM for a confirmation in case I'm wrong.

Friends we don't restrict your criticisms as long as they are constructive. If you don't like a particular scene you are more than welcome to post your views but not in a way that it hurts our friends who are ardent fans of this show since years. If you are not a fan of the show then we discourage any sort of derogatory comments to keep peace in the section. If you don't like an actor, then we request you to email the SONY regarding your wishes.

Posting comments in "NO COMMENTS" thread is discouraged. It means you are going against the rules set by the section development team and Admin.

We are mature and responsible people here and I don't feel it right to keep reminding you about the section rules like a strict Principle, that's the way I work.😊 This is not just my section, this is our section and if something goes wrong then we are all to be blamed, not just the moderator.

This is why I have made this post so we can openly talk about the problems in the section. Any suggestion you have to improve the section or any complaints you have that you felt went unnoticed. Any topic you felt needs a little more improvement. I am willing to look into each and every suggestion that will help to make our section member friendly like it should be.😃

You all are free to voice your opinion BUT I have few conditions before you proceed-

1) If you are going to post any sort of accusations then this is not the place.

2) We are here to have an open discussion but while doing so make sure you are directly/indirectly not hurting anyone's feelings.

3) If you do have a personal problem that you feel uncomfortable to share in the open then please PM me.

4) Profanity/Bashing etc will not be entertained in this thread.

5) If you don't have any comments then instead of posting "Thank you", I encourage you to press the LIKE button.

I have to be little strict here, only because I want this thread to be clean and spam free. If any of the above rules are broken then I will be forced to raise your warning meter up to 20% (WITHOUT NOTICE)

Hey Ambrosia.... you know that ANTI CID person, he said that his sisters were already on IF. So, I think if he's one of our existing members brother then theyre IP addresses are bound to be the same. Just wanted to let you know in case your planning on taking action against that existing member. I doubt if the poor girl even knows that her brother is the one creating all the ruckus. Anyways, I know it's none of my business, but thought you ought to know....

Of late, I have been noticing our members visiting facebook pages of our CID actors and inviting them here. Most of those pages are fake. By writing messages on their wall with the URL of our forum, we are inviting a lot of frausters here who are not genuine fans but only mischief-makers. They come here and open topics which annoy us.

I would like to request people to avoid posting our forum URL in anyone's facebook page or anywhere else where it can be read by the whole world.

Those who are real fans will find our forum themselves, like we all did.

@Ambrosia - if this doesn't qualify as a message for this thread, pls let me know.

But just for our information, could you tell us whether any action has been taken against the person who has posted them? The user might again create another id and start posting these kind of messages again.

I observed that the Report Abuse button is not working in Internet Explorer. It is working with Firefox. So CID fans, please use Firefox to report offensive messages.

In sites like rediff.com, when a message is reported for abuse, the message is immediately made invisible and the mods take a decision on whether the message is really abusive or not. On this site, even after someone reports the message, it continues to be displayed until the mods decide whether it is abusive. Can this be changed, at least for channel mods like you?
