Drilabh, we belong to the same family! We are twins. Detto is the case in my life too. My brother and cousins tease me like hell. They compare it with shows like CSI and BONES and say CID is too melodramatic and stupid.

I have not watched CSI, but I have seen BONES which is worse than a rotten egg. My brother always teases me saying that how could i ever watch a programme where they have scanned apples using a normal computer scanner ( yeah that was really stupid).

The main reason why people don't like it is because of the common stereotyped notion - " FIRANGI SHOWS ARE MUCH BETTER THAN THEIR INDIAN COUNTERPART". Even though how vulgar or ugly the former may be, people never accept indian shows based on a similar concept. The same was the case with Indian idol. Anu malik happened to be compared with Simons of the American idol for his outright behavior.

Another fact was CID serial was not up to the mark in the years 2006.2007 and 2008. It started getting a makeover only in the year 2009, with new format such as each month having a unique type of cases

Anyways CID has turned out to be a part and parcel of my life. I will always cherish it.

Let me narrate a funny incident of my life. Last year , I had written the boards. From the day I had started watching CID, I watch it on every Friday, no matter whether there is an exam on Saturday or not. The same thing happened for the boards. There was an exam on Saturday but still that didn't stop me from watching the show on friday night. By god's grace I managed to score 90+ for the exams. This came in as a shock for my family - how could a girl who was 24 hours in front of the TV manage to score good marks? My cousins found out the answer. Guess what? I managed because I watched the show CID all the time. Now they to have begun to follow their elder sister's study mantra, ie. to watch CID every Friday night for scoring good marks. So the moral of the story is, CID helps us to reduce our stress during exam times 😆

To me...east or west CID is the best! I love Daya too much. Don't know why. But I just love him. Sometimes I feel I watch CID only for Daya and Daya-Abhi relation...
In my home, everyone likes CID so much. My father doesn't watch anything more than 10 minutes. But he watches CID continuously when the cases r repeated now. He sticks to TV until CID finishes and me too.

My elder brother is a huge fan of CID. He doesn't get much time in a day. But whenever he is free he watches CID.
My mom likes Daya. She too loves to watch CID.
And I have got lot of friends who love CID. In fact most of my friends love CID as I like it.

Hi I m Ujala, A silent member. In my house everyone watches CID n every body, my mom, dad n my bro all love CID. But they sumtimes miss few epis unlike me I never miss any epi of CID. I m so addicted to it that if I don't watch it on friday then i begin to fall sick naturally, n for that sumtimes my parents hate my addiction to CID. n scold me for it. I m a true CID Fan since 12 years n have watched all the cases.
In my house everyone knows my addiction, therefore when i was young that is 8-9 years old i never used to on the tv w/o my mothers permission, so when i used to do something wrong or fight with my brother esp on friday she would give me the punishment of not watching CID n I used to get very scared. So after saying sorry like 100 times finally i would get the permission to watch CID.
I think Even if my parents would not like watching it I would still love it and even would go against them for it coz I just love love love it . Its my first love since childhood.

In my family, my mom and granny love to watch CID. but they watch only the new episode at friday night. when I watch the re-runs, they alweys give me long lectures😆( but I dont care). my elder sister watch it sometimes, but she teases me about it. my dad watch it with interest, but it's a rare case!😆 and my friends... they don't watch CID, they have more interest in saas-bahu shows😡. but they never tease me. but if anyone says that CID is a stupid show😡 I must say that he is the stupidest person😡.

Wow, you guys are lucky to have such parents. Not that I don't love them, but they become really nnoying at times. Whenever I watch CID, they say I should be studying and when I play basketball, tennis etc or simply read a book, then they don't say anything.😭😭😭😭😭
