My father hated Pradyuman from day 1. I don't know why....maybe because I was obsessed with CID during my exam times etc.

The only episode of CID which my dad has seen is 'The blind witness' - 11 years back.

And would you believe it, my dad still thinks Pradyuman is blind even after all these years!!!!! He tells 'Oh, you are watching CID, the programme where there is a blind inspector' (He doesn't even know that he is ACP)

Actually in a lot of ways my dad resembles ACP - looks, bald head, stern expression - everything.

The rest of my family members have no problem, as long as I allow them to watch cricket or their favourite programmes. And most of them are after 5PM. So I cannot watch the re-runs these days.

I can watch it only on Friday 10PM as this was a slot I had booked years ago.

And my family gets all the more irritated when I watch CID on youtube...they say 'you watch it all day on TV, why again on internet?'. They will never understand...isn't it? That's why I am here in this forum....there are people who understand my love for this programme.

My dad does not like or understand why people go crazy for an actor/actress or a TV show. He used to lecture me a lot, that I am wasting my life on these things which according to him are irrelevent. But my dad used to be a regular watcher of the show, till sometime in 2007-08. Once the script started faultering regularly, he lost interest. He occasionally see it these days.

When CID started I was already in collage, my career path was set. Thankfully there were no such re-run marathons then during my exams. CID came for just half hour a week and I used to take my dibnner break at that time during exams.Now I have a career, I am working and my life has a direction, now I no body lectures me much. yeah they do get fedup thats its CID running on my TV all the time, so as a solution I got Tata Sky+. If someone is getting irritated, I let them what what they want.

From the time CID started...even I wasn't a kid when it started, you know.

When I told her in 2002 that Daya has been elected as the 'most handsome guy in Indian TV', her reaction was like ........🤢

WOW unbelievable par hota hai, everyone definition of handsome is differemt. My mom was like he is the right person to give that award.

Lucky that your tastes match....actually my mother feels Daya is too serious and looks 'angry' all the time. She has probably never seen the smiling, sweet Daya.

Well... nice thread i would say..! 😃 Well i ll just tell how each of my family and relatives and friends feel for CID.. or About My die hard craze for CID.....

1stly... My Dad...... he doesnt have any hatred for it...!! even he watches it with interest soemtimes...(obviosuly he caccnt have the same craze as me) 😆 ... still he finds it annoying when even at my exam times i give more preference 2 CID Schedule than my Exam schedule...! 😆

My mom... she's teh one who doesnt like CCID... but she doesnt hate it.. i mean she can watch it if nothing else interesting iz coming up...! but she often "taunts" 😆 me that " kya laasho ki katai shatai dekhti ho"!! isme kya acha hai./.?" to which i politely reply "mamma actualkly you see i wanna go into medical stream so i guess this is quite intresting for me"...!! :p 😆

My Brother... he just says i am crcazy... and to some extent dislikes CID just because my CID downloads interfere with his movie downloads..!

hmm My Friends...!! well referring 2 the three sides of my friends... some just hate it to the core... i just ignore that part when they start wid "CID haye haye"...! some just love CCID...(not as much as me or US 😳 ) but still ..... and some are like they are fed up of my craze and ever on CID Newz...!! 😃 lol but you know they usually get ixccited when i tell tehm about the promos such as the 19th march wala promo.. !they also watch it just cuz of me..!! hehehe

my relatives just say ki i am a big fan of CID..! and they cant do anything about it...!!!

and yeah none of my relatives or friends watchc CCID because of the characcters.... tehy watch it because it is a tthriller show..! i am the only one who watches it because of the CID Team... specially ADA..!

Here in my home there is not such problem. My dad unusually sit with me to watch for few minutes then he walk away.My brother sits with me with full interst. My mom she can watch everything with interest. I have never seen person like her. From Saas- bahu saga, to CID, any sort of match let it be cricket, football, hockey, any sort of. She generates interest very quickly. Its not that see watches TV whole day. She watch it for 2-3 hours whole day. No such rift occurs. If anyone don't want to watch CID when I am watching they can switch on other TV.
