I wouldn't have cared much they could write whatever they wanted. they had the 10 years logo runnning for almost 1.5 years. My problem is that due to this nonsense they are not showing the first 18 Cases aired in 1997. They repeated almost everything in the last few months then why did they didn't they show how CID started.

Isiliye mujhe lagta hai ki - kuchh to gadbad hai abhijeetdaya, is 12 year ke liye yeh log humen CID ki shuruat kabhi nahin dikhaeynge. If they show them I would be bothered about 12, 13 or whatever.

I am actually satisfied with the fact that they have at least shown most of the old episodes which I thought will never come back. A few years before, there was hardly any time slot for the repeat telecast of CID. But 2009 was really very different. They were showing old episodes and innumerable repeat telecast of this evergreen show. I had began watching CID on the recommendation from my brother who had watched the case of the mysterious gift. listening to the narration I had badly wanted to see that episode but was not able to do so. I had been searching for this video for a long time but couldn't get it since I didn't know the title then. But this year I was able to watch it. So I am really very satisfied. Even I wish to watch the first episode and hope they will show it. I don't think the year difference will cause much of a problem.

OK I finally found some proof (My God look at Satam Sir's pic. He has such a pleasant. I love this pic). This is from the Entertaiment Weekly Magazine Screen's Edition dated 16 Jan 1998

So its 21 Jan 1998 confirmed. This makes me so happy 😃, so all old episodes are now safe and we may be bless to view them in future.

C.I.D. on Sony
Remember the dashing inspector of the popular Marathi serial, Ek Shoonya Shoonya? It was Shivaji Satam, who played the role so convincingly that even the Mumbai cops were taken in by his act. It seems traffic havaldars would often stop and salute him as he drove past their posts. Now, the guy's back playing the investigating officer in C.I.D., a serial being directed by B.P.Singh of Aahat fame. For an evening of intrigue and investigation, tune into Sony at 9.30 pm every Wednesday. C.I.D. will go on air from January 21.

This is from Screen which I have read for years. I also read a couple of pre-2005 Singh Saab's interviews, every where he says 1998. I am not sure where and why the April confusion started from. I would like to trust screen becuse this article is from the time the series was launched. Anyone who writes articles now can always make a mistake. I am going through their TV section, and still going through, 12 years is a long time. Its going to help in the old case sequencing as well.

so that means that Sony didn't miss showing all the episodes. But how is that possible? They didn't show the Missing Bullet episode, they didn't show the CID's first episode and they didn't show the episode I was talking about (the one in which Abhijit was whipering)I'm getting frustrated. I know that they showed this episode but can't prove it.😭😡

No its not like they missed due to date. It seems they on purpose have not shown a lot of stuff. In the recent reruns 2002-2003 there was lots missing, same for 2006 there. 1998-1999 only about half was shown. The just did not show it all. Only when they decide that they should the series from the beginning and in sequence only then we will be able to see it all. This haphazard sequencing is the main problem. There were so many EPs whose just first half or just the second half was shown, Like Case of Poisoned Chocolates. There were some whose previews were shown during end credits but the episode was never shown, like Kissa Bekasoor Shikari Ka.

I have gone through this forum and some other CID forums since the time they started trying to collate the case titles. Believe me they have just randomly skipped half the stuff. And they keep repeating the same stuff over and over again.

Maybe you missed the episodes I'm not saying it's your fault but it is not humanely possible to watch 10 hour marathons, is it? About the episode I was talking about, it starts with ACP and Daya in ACP's car with Daya driving(as always). It was raining(I think) and then they suddenly see a man coming in front of their car(Abhijit). His hands are shaking and he's whimpering and all that and tell's ACP and Daya to call the police as he's convinced that someone is trying to kill him. ACP says "Ghabrao mat, hum CID se hi hain, ab batao kya hoya tumhare saath". Abhijit narrated his story(don't remember what) and then points to a building complex where he says his house is. Daya and ACP go to check it out and see that Abhijit's apartment is open. They see no one's there and ask the neighbors about it, who said they heard nothing and claimed that Abhijit is a little 'kiska hoya'. ACP and Daya convince him that nobody was there. Next day, CID hears that a man was nearlly murdered and it turns out that Abhijit was the victim. DOn't remember the rest.

Sweetie when I am telling that they did not show it all, you should trust me. Believe me they haven't shown it all. I know exactly when and how much I missed. And after 1999 Episodes started I did not miss a single minute in that those telecasts. I may have missed recording then but saw almost all of it. I only remember missing ACP's eyesight coming back because of power outage.
