Guys, don't you think that the episodes are bringing up the flaws in yesteryear's CID. I remember very clearly that Fredericks was called Michael, but no idea when it did. Does anybody??? Also, the misconceptions about Abhijit's name etc... If you can think of otehr flaws, plzz post them here.

I saw no confusion about Abhijit's name. Adi Sir was very clearly Abhijit when he joined the CID Core Team and he played other characters before that too.

About Freddie being called Michael, hmmm I don't know if we can call this flaw. May be like someone said his name could be Michael Frederiks. I have checked "Frederiks" is used as a Last name too.

Or maybe his first name is "Fredericks" is his first name. "Michael" is also a last name. Like George Michael??

Maybe Fredericks has/had a twin brother named Michael who joined the CID team earlier and then was transferred/killed/injured. Fredericks joined immediately after he left. Hey if they can add and delete Daya's family members at random, then why not Freddie? Ah the powers of imagination! 😆

I also heard that in a '99 episode, some criminal was caught and that it was said that he and CID team are going to meet again. But I guess they forgot about it.

yeah THE CASE OF VANISHING LADY. They never revisited Vasudev's case again.

Yeah you are right. I only had Michael Jackson in mind so it never occured to me that Michael can also be the last name.

Actually dinesh phadnis was a thief called Michale in pilot episodes of CID. He joined as Fredriks after some 15 episodes as a member of CID team. He himself said that in a program called jeena isi ka naam hai- Shivaji satam(our own ACP sir). The link is on this forum. Hope this wil help 😃

Michael can't be a thief, he is very clearly a CID officer. Plus these episodes are from 1998 which is way beyond 15 episodes. The re-runs shown on 4th Jan only in THE CASE OF STOLEN GUN, I recollect everyone calling him Michael. Thats the first time I heard him being called Michael while in other 3 cases he was called Frederiks if I can recollect correctly. This name switch has happened sometime in 1998, I wonder why.

yeah. in the revolver episode he calls ACP sir frm a local telephone booth n sayz "sir main michael bol raha hun" 😕

Did you hear him being addressed as Michael before that episode? Ek to yeah kaunse order mein dikha rahein hain we don't know.
