Misti, I also do not like violence but Vishaka really had it coming. I'm sure Dev had reached his brink, especially when he saw the witch trying to kill his beloved. Also, I think a lot of viewers wanted to see Dev slapping Vish and throwing her out of PB because of all the frustration and backlash that was felt when Dev brought the witch home on Holi. So this was like a gift to those viewers and an apology from Dev to his fans for going all robotic and guilt-trippy on them (I admit, myself included).

Sandeepa let me first deal with the episodes where Dev was on his guilt trip. I understood Dev in those episodes because that matched with his character or nature.........in those episodes Dev remained the same. He has always been a self righteous man, who is also very stubborn........it was natural when that accident happened that he will blame himself and will go into himself trying to deal with it. The problem was that the creatives as usual did not show the reason behind him withdrawing........I think they did rectify that mistake and there were some dialogues where he explains himself to Radhika.
But this slapping Vishaka is completely against his character........he has been provoked even before but he did not lash out..............he did react to those situations and with words let that person feel as small as an insect..........so why this deviation from his character?

Just imagine if slapping is against his character then he must have tolerated soo much that he lost his control this time. Even when dadi was taken handcuffed he did not hit vishaka..this must be "the Limit for him". this happens with anyone..its a volcano that errupted as he was suppressed above his limit.. Vishaka says she loves dev and did everything because she loves him...is this love or obssession (could be because of her prego hormones). Did she ever understand that radhika too loves him and what she might be going thru?..she always thought radhika as a servant..so what she can take a slap on my behalf (thats what vishaka had said when she told dev abt her hiding in the storeroom and dev was angry). even this time she said radhika can stay in PB as a servant..as thats what she was before and is now and will always be a servant.

Sonika Vishaka saying all that crap and rubbish is fine because that suits her character.........the creatives have kept her more or less the same...........I accept that they have also degraded her but she has always been selfish and self centered and they have maintained that. ...........Dev is not that......even we in real life are sometimes pushed beyond our limits but the way we react to situations depends on who or what we are............we do not suddenly become what we are not.
As for Vishaka loving Dev.........Vishaka only loves herself and when it suits her purpose she falls in love.......as I have said before she is selfish and thats why I do not expect her to understand anyone.

Misti - Loved your post. You brought out the whole idea of how is Vishakha making the moves on Dev this time any different than last time when Radhika allowed it. But at least Dr. Kanha intervened.

I also think the whole Shashtriji walking off in the sunset (my concept) and Devki and Amma walking after him was histarically funny.

You can always count on him doing something offbeat - ie Tarpan, Punya sale, now????

Anamika thanks for appreciating my post. These creatives just go on repeating circles........they are repeating more orless everything that happened last year ...........this makes me wonder if either Shantanu or who ever comes in the story are they also going to repeat the circles? Heaven help me if that happens.
I was smiling when shastriji calmly walked off with these two ladies running after him..........with one muttering mor lalla, mor lalla...............plus chachoos sarcastic comment.
Well shastriji has done jal samadhi, punya whatever...........how about sthal samadhi.........now amma canagain dig a hole in the soil for babuji to take his samadhi andthis time Dev can come running to save him........Dev can come and reason with him saying that "what about him...........now that he is married to Radhika, he will have to deal with the lunatic amma and the pious Devki..............Shastriji cannot leave him alone with these two..........he has to share the burden"

Dev's action in slapping Vishaka is fully justified. The shameless hussy is attempting murder by strangling Radikha and the slap is really really necessary to snap her out from whatever evil intention that is possessing her at that time. Theres no excuse in trying to kill or harm someone and IMO a mere slap alone is not enough to punish her for what she has done.

Nice post misti agree with u about circles.Sastriji has done what he always does at home walk away from the family problems by either doing tarpan or leaving everyone to fend for themselves only when he believes he faces panchayat.Amma as usual leaves all the mess she creates for someone else to clean up and as per her nature she left mor poti high and dry after making her vish kanya.I wonder where her love for apna khoon went.Lalla is more important than mor poti Now let us see which circle CVs take up.

Mishti,
Today I was on a tight schedule, so didn't get time to even think about the episode after I finished watching. Thanks for the circle descriptions, it was easy on me as you already did the analysis. Good analysis.

But yes, I too DID NOT like Dev slapping Vishaka. She did horrible things, YES! But Slap by Dev. NO! Period. Did Not Like, Thats it!

Next agreement is about chachu's dialogue. Yes, I liked that dialogue too, but it sort of got mixed with the other dialogues and in the chaos of the scene, but yes, since I too am interested in what chachu would do, I did catch his dialogues and smiled.

I too was waiting to see what kind of reaction would Shastri have on Devki, but he simply walked off, and like you I too am waiting if that part would be covered tomorrow or day after after Radhika's position in PB is decided.

Just a while back I wrote in gardes' thread abt how I felt about todays episode. Guess I'll cut and paste that part here:
1. Amma leaving Vishaka was so childishly done by the creatives.
2. Mrinalini's act it looked as if Creatives just left it to her to act and mouth few dialogues however she wanted. That part of the scene looked as if it was entirely left it on Mrinalini to plan, write, act and maybe even direct!
3. Vishaka begging of everyone?! Hmm .. no comments.

..the only good part in todays episode for me - Creatives remembering to get the ghar-ki-chabiyaan from Vishaka via Vaishali. 😊
..rest all was dubba (matlab, bakwaas)!
