There were lots of clues that this is where it was heading as he chose Kartavya time and again. As long as he is in this path I dont believe that he can see Radhika's POV nor can he do justice toher. If Dev feels RP and his married life cannot go hand in hand and he has to give up one to pursue the other, then that one has been taken out of the equation which is dharm.--i.e Radhika---who is also his wife.

Now he can easily follow the path of kartavya without any obstacles or hurdles because the existence of Radhika would constantly remind him about the path he has chosen.

If the above is true then he will apply sindoor on Barkha's forehead today in front of the society because she deserves justice for putting her life at stake for the sake of his family and it is his business to protect her. Probably he feels Radhika has his love which compensates for all that she has lost.

He has segragated love and duty ---when it is love it is Radhika and duty constitutes RPti.. In this path he can do justice to only one but suffer for not choosing the truth and dharm.

I dont know what the creatives are trying to say ... that kanha got rid of rads so dev could follow his duty?
that the first marriage is not sacred anymore since dev will do anything in the name of duty
what else will they make dev do in the name of duty ... marry barkha, have kids with her?
what about his duty towards his wife ... so in addition to being inhuman, are they saying that he is a liar too
if they wanted to show dev married to barkha, why dumb him down to the extent where he disbelieves everything his wife and soul mate tells him and goes and does exactly what she was warning him about

forget about humanity for an instant, how stupid can they make a person if he does not even question how a person turns up with blood on their hands and he does not wonder if wife could even be telling an ounce of truth

how stupid will they continue making him if they show that someone frantically trying to talk to him will suddenly run away

Radha_bilihari ... i like both the characters of rads and dev ...but i think the creatives are only writing for rads and barkha ... they killed rads physically but they have been repeatedly killing dev by messing with his characterization whenever they see fit

i am very annoyed bcos avinash has been doing an excellent job ... but this characterization of dev does not fit at all in this story which is termed a divine love story

They are showing an oppressed woman who dies a horrible death at the hands of her friend and who is abandoned by everyone around her ... this was the general theme of most shows around 5-10 years back ... and has been done to death ... this is not a divine love story and neither will it bring in the TRPs ... so the only conclusion i can make is that in their obsession primarily with barkha and rohan and then with rads, they are forgetting that this is a dev/rads story and not a rads versus barkha story

Dev from cb1 and cb2 are wonderful characters that are the creation of the creatives ... it is a pity they are not using their intelligence to tell a good story and show rads and dev going through some pain without dumbing down and dehumanizing dev in the process

Frankly speaking, i am actually very upset at all the articles predicting all the things that dev may do in the name of duty ... their trps are dependent on both dev and rads ... they cannot kill the character of dev and expect that people will come back to watch the show

Angie, thanks for the thread where all of us can vent our frustrations. Dev's character is taken to new lows everyday. Next will be Dr.Barkha drugging him for a SR.
Fridays episode Dev said he feels like crying while BH was killing Radhika. That is how I am feeling whenever I think of the show now.

Its a show. Just relax and enjoy.

All of us are reflecting our mutual pain and heartbreak at the way the Cvs have tortured and changed the characters so much.

Great thread! They've damaged Dev's character to the core, yes he has been brainwashed by Barkha but that doesn't mean he should become heartless towards his wife.

The sindoor scene was the worst, I was expecting a gust of wind like before or something which would have stopped Dev from having to put sindoor on Barkha but instead it was intentionally done further adding salt to the wounds of fans everywhere.

Zee's downfall continues, I just can't believe how much damage has been done to these shows in such a short period of time.

I'd like to add, what baffles me is the mockery they made in Kanha's name. The entire show is about Radhika and her Shraddha, vishwaas in Kanha. And time after time, despite when no hope was seen, she never lost faith in Kanha. And when the time came, suddenly Dev (whose character they trashed to the core) put sindoor in Barkha's maang? Marriages are made in Heaven, one women, one man, one ultimate soul. What happened? Suddenly they forgot that Kanha would not let his devotee Radhika's husband to put sindoor in another woman's maang? Does the sindoor not mean anything? This is simple cruelty. It is a mockery of our traditions as well as our faith in Kanha. And I am truly uterly disgusted.

People want to see Avina, not see them bashed left right center and leave no scope for them. This is hurtful not to just fans of Avina but also devotees who watch this show because of Kanha's supreme devotion portrayed by Radhika.
