No Shanti is not worst character , whatever she is saying is truth and she is the practical person ...Why she will not have objections of her husband spending money on marriage that also the second time ...They are poor people from lower strata of society and that also from lower cast ...why she should not be worried about her daughter future ...So she has foresight to see things clearly and speaks her mind ..
