Anchor - Well, shopping is done and now, about the look in the show. Ladies first, so, let us ask Sanaya what she has to say of her look, which is again very different from the earlier looks.

Reporter - Right now, I am at the Pink city, Jaipur and the one who is standing with me has also worn a pink costume. her name is Paro. Now who is this Paro and what is so special about the costume, let us know from her. This is Sanaya and welcome to the show.

Sanaya - Paro in pink... thank you, thank you.

Reporter- You have given a good introduction. Now we would like to know more.

Sanaya - People also call me 'Pagal Parsi' so PP and 'Pink Paro'.

Reporter - Let us talk about the character. You are back on TV with 'Rangrasiya'. So what is the character like??

Sanaya - The show is going to rock. I can say 100% that. it is made on a very large scale, the story is very nice, every actor is good, characters are good. I am now scared for myself, about my character or I don't want to praise myself. This is a very different character for me.

I am still trying to blend in. I am trying to get ab grip of this character as this character is very complex, unlike Rudra's character. Paro's character has a lot of complexities, there is a lot that she has to deal with. She sometimes laughs, sometimes cries, sometimes she is scared. So there is a lot. That is why maybe, I am unable to catch that one notch as yet. I am very close to it, so hopefully, it will be good.

Reporter - We will know more about the show and Sanaya's character. But as we have mentioned, we are in Jaipur, what would you say about the climate of Jaipur??

Sanaya - It is good as of now. A bit cold, we are standing in the sun, enjoying the sun. When we had come for the outdoor, it was not this cold. It was very hot and very difficult for us. I am liking this weather.

It has been a couple of days since we have been in Mumbai and have come back and there has been a sudden drop in temperature. And this feeling nice, than what we face in Mumbai, the heat, the pollution the noise.

Reporter - Your colleague id from Jaipur. Your co-star..so has he done anything special for you??

Sanaya - Nothing special at all, nothing. Ashish speaks only 50 words a day. I have booked 40 words, I said, speak the remaining 10 with anyone you want to. But at least speak 40 words with me.

Reporter - Talking about the character, about the look, you have been given a Rajasthani look, so how comfortable was it to look like this and what efforts were taken for the look??

Sanaya - I did not have to take any efforts. This is all hats off to our creative team and the stylist. They put it together. I am just an actor. I role play. Give me anything to wear and I will try to fit into it.

It was exciting for me as I have never had such costumes in any of my earlier shows. So, I am wearing a 'Ghagra choli' for the first time on TV. So I was happy as on Tv, there are limitations. Sarees, Salwar, Ghagra and Saree, Salwar, kind off, I have covered it. So now I am wearing a 'Ghagra' and it is feeling good.

Reporter - Talking of your look, you have been given a nathani ( Nose ring). So how much does sanaya like wearing the 'Nathani' ??

Sanaya - I like wearing the 'Nathani'. if I could pierce my nose, I would. I am very scared, if I could pierce a second hole on my ears also I would, but, I get very scared. I love the 'Nathani look'. I think it looks so earthy, so India. And it was necessary, the character is from a village and she has to look Indian, and I am trying my best to look as Indian as I can. So its good.

Reporter - Have you experimented with your hair as well??

Sanaya - Actually, here, we have experimented a lot with jewellery, they want to give it a different touch. And they have experimented very smartly. Like these 'Kamar bandh', they are different. Also with hair accessories they have experimented a bit. So, I am liking the look, enjoying it. It is taking some time, but it good.

Reporter - Did you not ask the makers why they named you Paro?? Are there any Devdas kind scenes because Paro is very famous for Devdas kind scenes??

Sanaya - I think people will now remember this Paro. Whenever anyone talks of Paro, they will say, 'Rangrasiya' ki Paro, not 'Devdas' ki Paro.

Reporter - We hope that after 'Devdas' ki Paro, you all will remember 'Rangrasiya' ki Paro.

'Rangrasiya' Press Conference/E24 Seg [21 Dec.,2013]

Anchor - And now we take you to the press conference of 'Rangrasiya', where, present with the satr cast of the show, were the makers of the show. All were informed about 'Rangrasiya'.

VO - Not yet, Mr. Rudra!! This was just a promo launch of the show. Paro has just as yet starting talking. You will have to hear her out through the show. Anyway, now let the audience also know what all this is about??

Well, this scene is from the launch of the show, 'Rangrasiya', which was launched by the lead couple of the show, Sanaya Irani and Ashish Sharma. Both looked very confident.

Ashish - No, I am not nervous as we know what we have done. So...so...

Sanaya - I am very nervous. I have no clue what I have done...

Ashish - I am not very nervous for their expectations, because, if I had not done well, then maybe I would have been nervous, but I am 100% sure that we have worked as per their expectations.

Sanaya - Yaa, I think when you know the product is good, I know...I am 100% sure ... I will be shocked if it doesn't work. I will be bummed... I will be like What!! You guys kidding me?? You'll didn't like this?? So, no, I am 100% sure.

VO - Present at the launch were the makers of the show too. After the success of the show, 'Madhubala', they are also expecting a lot form the new show to start on COLORS.

Production personnel - We are hoping that like 'Madhubala' got encouragement from the viewers, even ' Rangrasiya' will get. We have put in a lot of hard work in the show.

ST - Response is good. Many are saying, it looks like a film, such a huge scale it is being shot and promoted. But for me, it is the story and the characters which are unique.

VO - Let us inform you that the shows launch took place in Jaipur, where winter is setting in. And it is Sanaya who is the most affected by the cold. That is why she wore a jacket in the midst of the PC and was then seen enjoying the bonfire too.

Anyway, we are now waiting for the show to start and this is the same hope which the fans of Sanaya and Ashish also harbor.

Anchor - Now some talk about Rudra's Paro., being played by Sanaya Irani. Sanaya has adorned the bridal look and she is looking very beautiful. And what does she have to say about beauty, let us hear from her.

VO - After seeing beautiful Sanaya, the moon is obviously going to hide itself behind the clouds. Just look at her...is her beautiful face any less than the moon?? But the 'maang tika' on her forehead and the smile on her lips, the twinkle in her eyes and the bridal dress, and we wonder, why is Sanaya decked up like this??

Sanaya - She is dressing up for her marriage... for her husband... you will see in the episodes what is to happen. But, as of now, this is her wedding attire. I think, Paro gets married after a few episodes since the start of the show.

VO - Oh ho, so TV's Paro is dressed as a bride for her TV show. Well, now that you are dressed up as a bride, do tell us, how do you feel being dressed up as a Rajasthani bride??

Sanaya - Paro, ie Sanaya has dressed up as a bride a lot. This is the longest continuity of being shown as a bride. Wherever I go, I dress as a bride. Be it the show, promotion or promo. So for me, it is very hectic, but obviously, it is a beautiful get up for anybody.

All brides look beautiful. It takes a lot of time dressing up, as you can see. Luckily the make up is not heavy as Paro is a village girl. But jewellery, as you know, Rajasthani, they really dress up, the clothes, the jewellery and all of that, so we have maintained that.

VO - Hearing Sanaya speak, it sure sounds like she does not like make up at all. That is why, putting on make up is the most boring thing for her. We are right, are we not, Sanaya??

Sanaya - My face does not look good in the get up of a bride. I do not know, I feel it is too much. For me, less is more. So when I see all this, I feel I should remove some things. But I am sure other people like it.

VO - You are right. Your fans always like to see you in this avatar. Though it is a different thing that beauty lies in simplicity also. And you do not use make up in real life.

Sanaya - I really do not. if you see, in real life... I have dark circles, I do not use any make up. In fact my friends sometimes say, at least apply kohl, because lots of people use kohl on a daily basis, but I don't like that too. I think that I should let my skin breathe on a daily basis. I only use chap stick.

VO - Tell us, does Mohit prefer you when you have make up or when you are without make up??

Sanaya - It makes no difference to Mohit. I am happy, then Mohit is also happy.

VO - Ok..Ok..Ok... And we also like you anyway that you are. And we hope your audience also agrees with us. Before we leave, from U, Me aur TV, all the best for your upcoming show.

Popular actor Sanaya Irani will soon be back on TV, essaying a new role in her upcoming serial, Rangrasiya. Having put her last flop TV outing Chhanchhan behind her, she says she's learnt lessons from success and failure. Confident of her new show, she is about competing with boyfriend Mohit Sehgal as his show Qubool Hai will clash with hers in the same time slot.

Is it true that Rangrasiya has been inspired by Shakespeare's Othello?

It depicts the destructive nature of love. When Ashish (Sharma, co-star) was briefed about his characer, he was given the reference of Othello to help him relate to the intensity of the character.

Do you sense competition with Mohit as your shows will air at the same time?

Well, I've told him that I am going to take him down. (laughs).

Post Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (IPKKND), people seem to expect a reprised version of your popular character Khushi. What's your take on that expectation?

I'm happy that people love me that way. I accept love in whichever form it comes, even if it is as Khushi. Obviously people have loved me as Khushi as perhaps IPKKND is my biggest show. But people also recall my other roles Gunjan and Chhanchhan to.

Have you put the failure of Chhanchhan behind you?

If my shows don't do well, it doesn't mean I say, "Oh my God, that was a disaster." You learn a lot from every show, and I had my share of learning with Chhanchhan. I don't consider it a bad patch in my life. Whatever happened on Chhanchhan happened for a reason and it had to end because I had to do Rangrasiya.

Two actors sharing a bond of friendship is rare and it was lovely to see you supporting Drashti Dhami on a reality show. How did the two of you become friends?

Both of us find it wierd to talk about our friendship. We're like any two ordinary human beings who are friends. We are normal people and we do things that normal friends do. We met during our college days and we've been friends since.

What do you think of Mohit's role in Qubool Hai?

I have watched the show but it was misreported somewhere that I hadn't. I really liked him on the show. A lot of people called to tell him that he's doing a really good job and I'm very happy that he is finally doing something that he likes.

A show you like on TV currently?

Big Boss (BB) is the only show I currently watch, other than some English series. This is the first season of BB that I'm watching and I feel people selected this time are much more well-known that the other seasons.

An actor you feel is popular?

I really don't know as I don't watch a lot of television showws. But I guess actors of Diya Aur Baati Hum are popular as it is the biggest show on TV.

A habit you want to get rid of?

I was very short-tempered but I think I have changed now. But, I think I'm very loud and impatient. I would like to change that.

What kind of shows do you want to see on TV?

TV is about being creative so everybody should make what they believe in. People shouldn't overthink.

What do you think of reality shows on TV?

I like dance reality shows and feel various talents should be promoted on them.
