ChanChan review of a TV addict [DT note Pg. 6] - Page 6

Hello never saw you before here on CC forum..so welcome to the forum😊..great to see valuable time being spent and i appreciate your opinion for a not so worthy show (according to you)
ok well 1st of all i completely agree CC as a show is not perfect at all..
but may be its for my love for sanaya i had been a regular viewer of the show since day 1..but things were missing and i was watching it for sanaya's sake..and was hoping that things will be fine..
now today when i just came on the forum watching the show and i can say that i completely enjoyed the episode with my family..we all had a good laugh..so this happy feeling matters much!and its not simply because of sanaya..its because of each and every one in the show..you are not completely wrong when you say the show has got no depth..but sanaya was also right when she said its a light hearted show and may be that's why even some deep routed problems of society..people's mentality...and feelings with deep meanings are shown in the most simplest and realistic way in this show..

regarding something new fresh and real..

the pallu thing! i dont know famous saas bahu serials of sony but the saas bahu serials leading the TRP chart, there the bahus do wear pallus..and i have noticed the suffering of bahus and unnecessary dragging of it...and the notion of not going against her in laws..

about the dresses sanaya earlier had shows where she used to get to wear only one type of clothes..which is absurd in reality..

here CC's hubby..manav's characterization is improving day by day(earlier it was very poor i admit)..but with Anuj the character got a new life..that guy actually has the guts to go against his mom and to leave his mom for CC..has the guts to say what's injustice and even challenge dada ji..

the best thing now about the show is the way how CC and manav's bonding is shaping up!!!scenes are so natural yet adorable..

and to add supriya pathak, sanaya and Anuj's spot on expressions..they make simple scenes so special only through their great acting skills! few other supporting actors are no less talented..

over all CC does not have a gripping storyline but yet it is entertaining ..it may be because i dont give much stress on the loop holes of the show..because its the makers job to improve it...my job is to get entertained and as long as the show is giving me a feel good effect..I'm loving it..😎so I'm content being positive looking for the things going right in the show and thus it makes me happy and gives my peace of mind...and i'm glad to know that i'm not the only one..since many viewers started re watching the show again recently..clear sign the show is improving slowly and steadily..

yes chhanhchhan is not the only bahu who doesn't wear pallu but the way she was struggling to keep the pallu on head was something new I've ever seen on tv.

UB hates CC b/c of the dowry scene and all the happenings before marriage and manav wanted to marry her against his mother's will and he left his home for CC, that day UB realised that she has lost her son.she agreed for the marriage to prove that CC is a wrong life partner for him to just get back his son.that doesn't show that she has no love for her son.I think UB is understandable

people are giving the reference of other shows here.lets talk abt the trp topper

I think UB is much more understandable than her.

ya Genda phool was a superb show but its plot was totally different.Suhana was rich,stubborn and immature and she got married in a family which was quite open minded

Chahnchhan is quite sensible and mature as compared to suhana and her in-laws are strict and orthodox

and sbs😆 they had no MIL so useless to compare it,that was totally different.

the reasons that you have given for cc being a bad show as a contention seems all are just a hearsay cause the person who has regularly followed the show wont make such an unavailing and
unreasonable post👎🏼

First of all I do watch the show ... Yes I am not addicted ... I do not watch every second of it but I do follow the show. Reasons I have given my main post.

About the show being fresh and wrong ... Well this was the promotion stints by Sanaya herself ... About how CC is not one who cries or is like other Bahus ... How CC wears different dress like just that in real life. Also this is the impression I get whenever I visit the forum. Hence I pointed out these points.

To me a mother who sells her son cannot have love in her heart and do that even without sparing a glance just because she had a tiff with a girl about dowry in some wedding ceremony, so she is not understandable to me.

She is an illiterate, who has run her house on money earned by her eldest son since his childhood making halwas. She is narrow minded when it comes to dream and she is filled with insecurities that her Bahu will leave her son once she gets to fulfill her dream. Even then she has never missed accepting her DIL's goodness and one mistake she did was giving her sleeping pills so that she cannot attend her exams but guilt did not let her sleep and she made sure her DIL attends exams no matter what.

Uma Ben comes from a rich family from an educated family ... A happy family. Also her husband seems to be a balanced and a loving person, so where exactly is she coming from? Why this evil behaviour ???

As for the pallu ... Ah well Akshara is the answer ... Maybe that show did not have comedy but that girl struggled big time. And the pallu issue was resolved not put under the carpet. Two girls of the same family and education background was show who got got married to similar families. One was putting up a show to impress elders and other was really trying to respect the tradition. When the head of the family got to see this he asked his Bahu to wear it when and if she wants, respect is what is more important than the get up.

Here in CC her pallu got burned so she is asked to wear Salwar suit till she can manage Saree ummm ... how will she learn to manage if she does not wear them. And its not like pallu comes only with Saree, right ?? So the issue is not resolved.

I did not compare Suhana with CC ... It was an example for a reason I gave but still as you mentioned it she was something totally new to Indian TV.

yes UB is from a rich family and if you are a follower of the show than you must have felt that its the ego of a rich woman,which was hurted by chhanchhan from the day one she met chhanchhan.

well you have got the meaning of the show totally in a wrong way buddy.the title is not modern bahu,its changed its chhanchhan-the journey of a girl

I am not against everything in the show. As for example you do not have any problem with all the above that I have said in the show but if someone has the problem with these issues ... What is wrong if someone does have an issue and expresses it???

One is expressing a different issue only after watching it right? So why the displeasure with it. The show is being watched and thats what count. IMO

Also the main reason for making this post of mine have been edited out but I guess the reverse effect has taken place I see more digs taken and more belittling.

Anyways ... I no this of no good but still I thought I will make a response.

@Tia: Glad you are enjoying the show and yes compared to FK AS is huge improvement to the show. These days I feel its more about Manav than CC. I am usually left with Manav this and Manav that after watching the episodes.

Light hearted comedy is Optymistix forte. I enjoyed the yoga scenes too, DadaJi is an awesome actor so is the elder two brothers. I have watched them before too.

Anuj is good an actor but I would not say spot on but all viewers who have endured FK for 2 months ... Specially all of you who are addicted because of Sanaya I know its relief of nth kind.
