For people who don't know the meaning of the word hotchpotch -

Noun

1 [in singular] a confused mixture: a hotchpotch of uncoordinated services

2a mutton stew with mixed vegetables.

Origin:

late Middle English: variant of hotchpot

Please do look up the meaning of words before claiming it to be offensive and directed at actors or characters of the show.

@temperance12: 😆 I could not believe my eyes that the word hotchpotch could be interpreted as it was in this thread. 😆 I was just going to write something to this effect and you beat me to it (more articulately and to the point:-)

Am really glad this post has been reopened. Makes this more a forum than a six letter word.

Sorry to butt in but I have to disagree with your comment about parents not disowning children...I'm of Indian origin but have lived outside India all my life and I've seen plenty of families of NRI's who have disowned children for marrying out of their community whether it be out of religion or out of race. I've even heard of rare cases where children have been killed in order to protect the honor of the family...and this in families who have lived in the UK and the USA for many years, so it's definitely not a problem in rural India only. Some families do eventually come around especially when grandchildren come along but not all. The main point though to UB not accepting CC was that she is extremely egotistical and when it comes to her ego not even her son's happiness is an issue as she has convinced herself that Manav will forget CC. There are a lot of people who find it hard to connect emotionally and UB is one of those...so in that sense the whole concept is in fact very realistic. As for your loopholes...the whole point is that UB is trying (unsuccessfully so far) to create a rift between ChhanMan in which Manav will throw CC out, whether he does or not time will tell but at this point in time nothing is predictable.

Its a fun feel good show.
N the 1 thing i would disagree most is the hubby wife relationship. Well its as different from thebreat f the saas bahu shows as can be. Cz this is the 1st love marriage in 1 of them i have seen.

N verybdifferent cz this time son is betweenwife n mom instead f saas being between hubby n wife..

Thanks Sunnara 😃 for a reply which holds disagreement yet not questioning my motive. Also glad you genuinely wrote your response rather trying out a smart comment which might border towards belittling.

Um I guess I will have to disagree again ... Two shows SBS & Mrs. Kaushik both which did good business for their respective channels till of course the script was good had love marriages too. They build the track till marriage so good that by the time they got married that was the right thing to do. Both the shows was on air in last two years and with the same concept. Both had strict Sasural to win over by independent and free spirited girls not necessarily that they were the right one.

See in CC it does not have to be out of the world but improvement execution wise will do trick of gaining viewership. Optimystix is good they will figure out something.

all i would say is sanaya is a great actress.. i like her as an actress..

anuj is great too,,,

m liking sanaya and anuj as a pair..

but m still trying to figure out as to what are the cvs planning to show?

a light hearted comedy show? where is the comedy?

a dil mil clash show? where is the clash?

a dog show? where r the dogs?

an out an out romance ? no proper romance ..

so what exactly r the cvs planning?

Shaant ho jao ! Hochpoch means kichdi ... As I had few things to address I wrote hochpoch review.

Also I dropped the T's from the word and wrote it as it is pronounced 😊

I hope this is not the reason its edited out &anyways it does not hold importance now as the post is edited out too.
