I like your review TM. I started watching this show, hoping to see 'Khoobsurat' play out on the small screen. I was very confident that with Supriyaji and Sanaya, the show would be a good watch.
But a few weeks into the show,it was clear that here was no Khoobsurat in the making. This was more a clash between the evil domineering MIL and the good DIL. And somehow, even with two great performers, the story, for me, is falling a little flat. I still like to watch it, just for S and S. I just wish the makers would, even as we write, wake up and tighten the plot and steer this ship properly,
Banishing the DIL into the terrace with her dog, asking her to use a public toilet is just not done. No one can relate to such stuff. And CC, being a modern girl should be made to stand up against such stuff instead of being accepting of it ( for eg. 'my Dadaji was also strict with my dad. Once his anger abates, he will call me in') like a traditional meek DIL.
I'm all for romance between the leads and they both look good, so bring it on. However, it would be nice if they showed more understanding between the leads as well. Manav sulking because CC wanted to go to PP was, for me, weird, because he ought to know how much CC loves her dogs, especially PP. actually, the dog trainer bit was cool. Why have they just cut it out?
The 'get Manav married to other girl' track is baffling. Which father will agree to such an arrangement?
Oh! And about the phangirl bit, I totally agree with your post. Posts are closed down in this forum when Barun's name is mentioned but several take digs at him directly and indirectly (he who must not be named etc etc)
I really think it is unfair to target him for something he is not even closely related to, namely, this show.
