I do believe Rima did put up that post in good faith...but what followed was biased...

I did leave a tiny comment yesterday between packing bags...and thought why not pen down my own POV today...amidst loads of papers on my desk...

What irks me the most is that these weekend posts come in only with criticism, whilst I fail to see appreciation for a particular episode, or scene or actor/s in that scene...let alone the whole show.

Till date there have been 50 plus episodes aired on CC. Haven't the visitors found even one episode to their liking? Let's take the rain sequence to be the best. Though for me there are several scenes of Sanaya that I found to be awesome, amazing...non-filmy, non-OTT, genuine, as real as it can get.etc etc.

So why didn't we get an appreciation post on that rain sequence weekend from the same fans? Many of us put up posts just on it... I went back to mine to check if any one of the so-called weekend fans of Sanaya had posted comments. Regret there were NONE!

Why wasn't the PH and the actors appreciated for a scene as good as a movie? Were those scenes a breeze for Sanz or her co-star or the Team that gave us that awesome set up? Honestly I don't think so. That scene was shot at night, open air, under gruelling wet conditions in a humid and hot city like Mumbai...retake after retake...The water sprayed on them isn't from the springs of the Himalayas, but according to me definitely not the drinking water types...Sanz had to indulge in lip syncing the song...imagine doing that and getting that water into your system...and what we got from Team CC is Magic on our screens!...

Its disrespectful to Sanaya to comment on her choice of employer/show/PH/channel . For fans to say that the PH is not banking on Sanz's talent is odd to ME at least...is like telling an employer "Hey your aren't getting the most out of your employees...they need to work harder...give them hard core scenes to enact etc etc."

What goes behind the making of those VISUAL TREATS and what seems an effortless smile, or a stare or a dialogue delivery...that we get on our screen day in day out...are not easy to churn out for any actor. (Imagine having a splitting headache and you yet have to look good and smile on screen?) During the wedding, Sanaya had to adorn the bridal attire for a week I think, with 45 pins tucked into her head. I can't hold even one! That bridal wear is not the most comfortable of gear to be in...and that too in the gruelling summer of Mumbai...All of this goes into the efforts of an actor, so to say that the scenes seem effortless would be unfair ...it involves 12-hours of work..26/28 days a month...Yes the dialogues aren't laden heavily with an accent and that could be Less of an effort for Sanaya considering her past show...

About TRPs...one of the best shows on TV in terms of content...namely Kismet...had a great cast, content, storyline, concept, direction...yet failed to garner TRPs on the same channel...and none of the current high-TRPs grosser can come close to it in content. This is purely my choice of content...

Ask a gardener and he would tell...that it takes the same amount of effort to mow the lawn as it does to water a fruit-bearing tree...in fact more I guess!

I would genuinely request our weekend fans to support the show, discuss and analysis, APPRECIATE and surely criticize when you find something amiss...that 's what the forum is for.

First thing, I would like to address an issue. Awards
case in point - ITA awards best actress popular - Sandya from DABH
Now this is not done to put any1 down, but well for me at least the authenticity of awards shows' selections was defined with this. Now had either Sanaya or DD had gotten the award, I would have accepted. yes I am only a SI fan, but nothing else needs to be said than this example on why awards shows NEVER is actually about the ACTRESS who essays a role.
It is hypocritical that an actress who elevates a mediocre role to heights is disregarded and an actress who brings down a well written role with mediocre acting is felicitated simple cz the show has TRPs.

Thus I have NO expectations towards awards.. cz awards on Indian TV awards shows are NOT given based on an actor/actress's capabilities and talent. Thus in all honestly I will say if Khushi didn't get her that, CC most definitely will not either.
Khushi was a precious jewel of a character, BUT on India TV unless a girl weeps and bends over backwards and is all serious and moans that is not considered jury awards material.
And unless a girl's show is NOT rocking the TRP charts she is not consdered as popular actress material.

THUS both CC nor Khushi falls in to either of the above said categories..
Neither character weeps, moans nor is preachy enough. So they do not comply with the norms expected of the awards winning characters..

An actress's talent nor her portrayal matters, the character does. As unfair and illogical and moronic as it is, that is the bitter truth.

Now coming to CC, well compared with Khushi & Gunjan - two characters I adored, CC seems a little less complicated at word go.
But then again the last thing I would call Gunjan is complicated. Khushi was on the other hand a very complicated character that brought a lot of excess baggage and was weighted down by it.

CC indeed came with a lot of promises which the show utterly failed to deliver for 48 episodes. Beginning with a ML that was not suited to even be a spot boy to direction to script to screen play. it SUCKED.

BUT in all honesty the past one month has been very much uplifting and they have managed to salvage most of the done damage starting with a fabulous male lead who compliments her perfectly from acting to good looks.

Now CC being too white, it does seem so right? But i would like to ask a question. Had we been that simple girl who got married and went there.. Are any of us inherently any different? She seems more compassionate than many..but then again its only to be expected considering her regard to animals, which was a main aspect of her character description.
So far we have not been delivered the full goods, but the going for the past month has been very good.
Its fun to watch.. makes me laugh.

Yes CC seems so perfectly uncomplicated. But as I said unlike Khushi who had a troubled childhood, CC was brought up in the lap of luxury and amidst showers of love and emotional and material security. Why will a girl like that even be complicated?
She is not stupid..But Why will she suspect something at first? In her world so far family simply loved, they didn't play games with other family members. Applying this theory she is indeed reacting as good as expected. She is baffled at somethings but still gives the benefit of the doubt to many things UB does.
She has started noticing more and more irregularities and subconsciously she is marking them. But something big will have to happen for her to open her eyes fully.

And another issue - intro of unnecessary new characters trying to attract attention
This is a false claim - dadaji was on that stage on the day the show was launched. It is a well planned entry timed quite well. 5 days after the marriage (in serial time)
The new girl - um.. i wonder if most of u missed the 30 day challenge that was released as the first description of the show? cz 30 day challenge is the premise of this show. AND on the date when CC got married for the 1st time the 30 day challenge was mentioned in the show. BY UB to the prospective 2nd bride's father.
Now i don't think this new entry is a sudden change of plans either. this was also set in motion simply 5 days back in the show's time.

Anyway the show I accept has quite many mistakes. its not perfect, but then again the TRP toppers right now r unbearable for me while I have actually started enjoying CC.

Now coming to the romance.
1 thing I will agree. It was crass at the beginning. Nope not the couple nor what they did, but the cameraman SUCKED. 1 single scene I still recoil. The 1st night when they wore blue and were in the bedroom and the way the camera panned on the specific body parts was painful to watch.. I cringed. And till today I resolutely keep away from the scene.

BUT from that moment onward I have only seen improvement on the romance department. This show managed to beautifully manage romantic scene from that moment onwards. I heard that a Navya show writer was taken on board to manage romantic scenes and it showed on screen too.

Thus instead of mindless romance it started weaving romance in to day to day mundane activities and started using it to build the understanding and bond of the husband and wife.

I know many like to crib at bold scenes. But well um.. tell me simply a husband touching a wife's tummy and tugging her waist chain, cupping her face, embracing her from the back, hugging each other..are these actually bold?
Once u put away the IPK pink tinted glasses its actually a beautiful and soft love story..

This show may even now have many wrongs and shortcomings but one thing they have perfected is the romantic aspect of it.
They have showed a relationship growing instead of showing mindless passion WHICH would have been so out of context had it been done IN this show, considering its family show genre and not a hardcore star crossed love story where such scenes would actually make sense.

Now coming to Sanaya's own acting. Well CC is too much like Sanaya herself that I think till now whatever was shown Sanaya can do blind folded. It has so far been a cakewalk for her with the character.
And hopefully future situations will arise when her responses will create scenes for Sanaya to emote and utilize her energies and talent more often.

But i would like to ask a simple question - the TRP leader Sandhya the female lead. Is she doing ANY spectacular acting? Is her character in anyway very different? So pathbreaking?
The previous TRP leader and awards winner Gopi from SNS. What did she do for acting? Or even as a character? She cried, she sobbed and she wept and she moaned. And apparently that is the best characters on TV!

So tell me is something like BLACK movie being made on TV? Where we would see a physically challenged character?
Will we see a Naina in Kal Ho Na Ho written for TV? Will we?

Where will an actress of the caliber of Sanaya find a character she can showcase her acting chops at?
Yes I agree she deserves better. BUT is there ANYTHING that is good enough for her right now on TV?
So far I cannot think of a single one..

The day they write a story like that one ArHi FF called 'Vines with thorns' by -Zara- with a character like the Khushi in it that I will call is a script worth of Sanaya Irani.
Until then i think Sanaya is doing the best she can with the limited options available on TV.

She doesn't want to do a weepy illiterate bahu - she has always been adamant on this
She has done 1 youth show - a college story
She has done 1 star crossed love story

Now with the limited scripts and genres available on TV what does it leave her with? Something exactly like CC isn't it?

So all I can say is Sanaya played diametrically opposed characters in her previous 2 shows. And when she had to pick a 3rd she had the option to either repeat one of them. But instead she did the only change she could.
Both her previous characters were village girls, and this one she picked from a completely differnt background. Thus she tried her best to be versatile in the very limited options on TV..

So I don't know if i answered the question or simply raised many more. But my point is that she sure deserves more. BUT on TV right now seems like there is no other option for her to go to.

I would any day prefer CC over a weepy grubby suppressed village kudi...

I have never been a completely fan of actors/actress before IPK - What I mean is I used to watch the story/show until it interested me and if the story went haywire, I used to give up - no qualms about it. And for this show too, I didn't start from the beginning. I started from 28th or so episode and went back and watched all the episodes and was hooked. After the show ended my honest opinion is that I don't think I can see either BS or SI doing mediocre work and that is why I think CC is failing.

We can't know what has happened and why Sanaya took this show and I am not the one to question it. She felt she did a good decision and is trying to do more different roles and she came in with a good PH. Yes I was a fan of Saas Bina Sasural of Optimystrix and loved that show. The show started in March and it is close to 4th months for the show to be on air. Did CC make an impact ? Nope - not at all. I will give my reasons why CC didn't make an impact and I will compare this show with Saas Bina Sasural only as that would be Apples Vs Apples comparison.

Saas Bina Sasural was a low budget production of Opti and you can see everything is bigger and better in CC. But I feel the makers have gone in to do different things at the same time thereby there are like running in all directions without a firm grip on the story. The promos usually give out the initial story sketch. But the initial promos simply concentrated on Sanaya - It was very clear that the PH and the channel were riding out on SI's popularity. I doubt if the PH had a concrete story on hand when they went for shooting. I am strongly suspecting the story till now has been one that was written as they went by and the PH and the makers didn't exactly know what they are aiming for.

Each show has an underlying concept - a concept that identifies the show. For eg:- Intense love story for IPK, A house without females for Saas Bina Sasural and a story of a girl's journey to her dream of becoming IPS officer in DABH(will be comparing CC with DABH too so just quoting). Now CC has no concept per se. The makers have not given out any strong concept during promos - Initial media articles by PH said it was a clash of modernity vs conservative ideologies represented by Supriya and Sanaya, now few articles are out saying it is journey of CC in the Borisagar Household. After 4 months don't you think they should have the concept well in the hold of the PH - and they should have the concept in the background and have other tracks go on. No I don't see that happening here. Every week we have some or other track where in UB is reduced to humorous/black/manipulative and the rest of the cast is clowns and CC is Ms.Goody two shoes. In Saas Bina Sasural, Toasty also became Ms.Goody two shoes for some tracks but believe me, those were the tracks that didn't work at all. But the way the same PH moved the journey of Toasty in the household was good. Toasty's parents were always in the story, the way they used to come over and talk when there was a problem and the way the show always moved with different day to day activities of the household was good. Here where did Sarabhai family come into picture after the marriage ? All I can see is only once the dad called up CC after marriage, CC called up dadi once and CC came in to see PuchPuch this week. That is not how it happens in real life - If my daughter got married in the same circumstances, I would be little more apprehensive of UB. I admire how for a small scene, the PH was able to get all the actors on board without using body doubles(like when CC comes in to see PuchPuch) but at the same time they are not utilizing the cast correctly. Wasn't it a waste to get all the cast for 5 minutes scene but not have a talk between the parents and CC, Couldn't they have shown a scene between the mom and CC talking about life in general in Borisagar's house, or between CC and Dadi. No they just had a hardly 5 mins scene. CC was not even concerned about the other dogs - Anarkali, Jahapanah no not even a dialogue of them. See that kind of loopholes are too many in this show. And with the way the things are going, I think slowly the other cast will fade in the background and may move out of the project.

With UB's characterization, I think half of charm of the story is getting lost because, UB is completely black. She doesn't want Manav to be with CC - why? For what? Because her ego got hurt by the girl. Sorry is not a convincing answer especially when she knows and has seen Manav to be in love with CC. Most moms make adjustments when their kids are in love and I think that is why UB's character is not connecting with the audience. The same point is played in DABH - Bhabho doesn't want her daughter-in-law to succeed but you have a clear cut reason for it. She is afraid her DIL may leave her halwai son after flying high. See that reason many mom's can identify with. When it is the question of your son's happiness, you would go ahead to protect it even by unfair means. Bhabho knows that Suraj can't survive if Sandhya were to leave him after becoming successful so she is purposefully trying to create hurdles in her path of becoming an IPS officer. She is okay by playing unfair and negative and regressive because according to her, she is looking out for the greater good of Suraj. That emotion/that feeling many moms can connect with especially in rural areas where Moms still feel that DIL may leave their sons, if especially the DIL are shortchanged in the marriage. That is why DABH is raking in TRPs. Here I have seen most comments that Sony is for Urban audience but pray tell me which Urban mom behaves the way UB is behaving? Most urban moms go out of way to be friends with DIL and try to bond with her because they know the sons will be with wives if they behave bad and especially when it is a love marriage. But here UB has old and archaic customs like putting pallu on head, giving punishment for not putting pallu, purposefully getting another girl in between her married son and DIL. No I don't think the urban audience is connecting with this show.

Coming to TRPs - I always feel a good story will connect the show to the audience and the audience will tune in to catch the program on the dot. Look at 9PM slot. It is heavily competitive. You have a new intense love story with Kashmir as backdrop on Life Ok and given that Life Ok is a small channel, the last TRPs of ChanChan and Do Dil were same (0.8), So that is a concern for ChanChan. Qubool Hai is another love story and that also is having intense scenes and bold scenes. So the young generation may be split between these shows. For people who want comedy and laughter Chidiya Ghar is an out and out comedy show and for audience who want a good story, DABH is reeling them in with good tracks and now the story is finally poised at the point where Sandhya is going to become IPS officer - a end to the journey that started over 2 yrs ago. Do you think we have anything going on in CC, that is spell binding and so arresting that people will give up these shows to tune in. No, CC doesn't have a concrete track that is going to hold the audience attention - The 0.8 TRPs is only due to die hard ardent fans of SI who are tuning in everyday. But for the general audience, it is quite okay if they miss CC's episodes, one day in a week or few days in a week because nothing is really coming out as a track. In Saas Bina Sasural, we used to have new montages for every track, the montage used to change when the track used to change,like show the brothers on one side, Toasty on other (to show Toasty finding opposition in the family)/ Toasty missing in the montage( to show Toasty missing in family). I am not able to put it in words but what I mean to say is that even if I did tune out for few tracks in Saas Bina Sasural, if I caught a promo with a new montage, I used to tune back in when the new track started. That is not happening in CC.

I know no actor signs in a project knowing that it will be a failure but after seeing Saas Bina Sasural and CC, I would say the makers have lost the plot. Most of the scenes or tracks in CC are going to be repeats of Saas Bina Sasural - Like the over strict Dadaji coming in was the same track wherein the overstrict naniji of Tej comes in and Toasty immediately gets into bad books of her when she does things unknowingly. So what I feel is that for people who are already aware of this PH's earlier show, this is just a lather, rinse, repeat and nothing much. For Sanaya's sake, I do hope this show leaves a mark but doesn't look like it. My honest opinion.

PS:- I have quoted the other serials in reference to what I feel is not working for CC. Please don't bash the other serials or other characters like Sandhya, Bhabho. We may not like the shows but there are people who are able to connect to the characters and that is why it is able to rake in TRPs.

agree due to ipk being very epic its natural for us to expect another epic.
sigh the reality is ipk kind of stuff wont happen regularly that does not mean we need to stop aspiring for epics. but this cannot be forced, put your best , aim for the best , best will happen.

may be your personal preference is intense love story , expecting all sanz show to be intense love story is not logical right

yeah cvs did some initial mistake and correcting.

but i have seen you in ipk forum too where you mostly cribbed about track and stuff.
i agree crititism is required else cvs will not take things seriously but then

as i mentionedi n my post , i want sanz to do BW she will be damn good in jab we met kind of movies, not that she cant to sad stories its just i cant see her crying lol

about DABH and gopi bahu lol i tried watching them but could not watch it continously
why she got best actresss lol ofcourse lobbying or may be SP wanted to show that last year who ever got award was due to SP lobbying too .

hopefully you will get a show on air which you will love
cause finally i got CC which i enjoy watching, have fun and brings a smile on my face.
this PH is better with less spoilers and stuff too which is good

If you take the time to read my previous posts you will see that I do infact watch CC everyday and have followed SI since MJHT. Unlike some one dimensional fans I do not think that you need to detest one actor to prove your love for another.
I also did say that Sanaya n Anuj make a good pair but I think she has had better.
It's been 8 months and I have not heard Sanaya talk as often and as fondly of anyone more than he ex costar so I guess that goes to show who is more delusional. Despite all the fans hatred she genuinely likes who she chooses to and there is nothing you can do about that.

I am loving the show, the Jodi of Anuj & Sanaya, all the cast and the direction the story us taking!

I have never seen All these people who are having problems with the show in this forum before!

If you don't like something, common sense dictates you stay away from it!
