However I have liked Sanaya in Fanaa and watched her previous show as well.

I tried posting feedback on the show on the sony site but the word limit is a dampener -was waiting for them to respond so that I could elaborate but they do not seem interested. Someone said here that the makers read IF - so am posting here.

1) I think the makers made a big mistake by not focussing on the conflict from the start. They focussed on the romance which we all know was a flop no thanks to the great acting talent that the makers chose to introduce. To an extent the Purvi track was ok till the newspaper apology part but later on I think they messed it up .
2) A bigger problem I think is CC characterisation. Supposedly Modern , but for the clothes she could be a bahu from any other soap. CC needed to be fun for the audience to be interested in her(seeing that the show revolves around her) but is sadly a bit of a bore
3) All the tracks upto the marraige were badly concieved and executed including the manner in which UB first coerces Manav not to marry CC and then breaks off the engagement.
4) While marraige is supposed be a TRP raiser, this was the most shabbily executed marraige sequence I have ever seen. Rituals were jumbled up and the eco friendly marraige was OTT and extremely tasteless
By this time , obviously the audience has lost all interest in the show.
The show has become interesting only now with the new ML and after CC has moved into Manav's house. How much of the audience will come back ofcourse depends on the makers . But with DABH doing really well and the romance back in PR , I think the makers have a huge task on thier hand of bringing the audience back.

They had a good concept , extremely good actors (except for the ML which was a big mistake) but the makers really messed up the show in the first 2 months in all ways possible.

Lastly and this is my opinion, some good shows also have the same TRP as CC. If despite CC being crappy has managed these TRPs , there is no doubt that Sanaya is a star.

very well said 👍🏼

Any other reason left???? 😆

Why can't it be admitted that its a highly over-rated show..!!

Everyone else is at fault, even the TRP system. But Sanaya Irani can't deliver a flop show.. Crazy..!! 🤪

Excellent maiden post!!!
I agree with everything you said ... especially the shabby marriage track. Weddings are TRP raisers in all shows ... here, this was the worst done, especially the eco-friendly marriage where they had a real chance to give a good message and lost it through the shoddy execution. Plus they had a new ML just into place, they should have delayed the grand sangeet till they got Anuj on board and started all the festivities with him only, extended the wedding rituals by another few days, made it lots more fun and games and wooed the audience back.
Execution has been a problem in the show since the start ... apart from the other huge problem of the ML, which has now been sorted out ... it will take a long time to get the audience back ... if they manage to get them back at all. The time slot is another issue ... competition is fiercest at this slot and both the other two shows are very well established and have been running for years, they have a set audience which is not going to move easily.

I don't think it is a completely lost cause ... the actual show as it was envisaged has actually started from the 50th episode ... so let's wait and watch.

Despite being an international viewer...another thing here Id like to state and have been posting on Sony FB page is two things...

1) 5-day week...no doubt its doesnt matter to the count but how it affects a Friday viewer must be known to the broadcaster

2) English subtitles - Urban viewers need to decipher the language. Especially the Gujrathi dialogues.

Now lets take a lay viewer.

9 pm...dinner time/family time. Monday-Thursday watching CC...come Friday...will he/she put the TV off?

No...what does he do?...ofcourse change channel...and watch a cliff hanging episode of a seasoned show DABH or PV or whatever...

Come Monday he/she is back to watching what happens next...on the show they watched on Friday.

Secondly Friday being the last day of the week, all at home have their feet up after a hard days' work with dinner plates in hand...trying to unwind...

hence the channel has to see that the 9 pm slot (weekdays) needs a 5-day week. airing... with cliff hanging episodes on Friday...this is ONE of the ways to get your viewers back...

Hence the weekend shows on the same channel perform well as they have no competition during those time slots...

Just my POV...

Very well said 👏
Hope they improve the execution now that the real story has started. .
Eventhough i enjoyed yesterday's episode, it seemed as typical saas-bahu show albiet refined one. .
It would be good if they show some message oriented tracks mixed with clashes of ideology like Umaben does charity for fame whereas CC does it genuinely. .

Thank you every one! Personally I think this too much preaching is getting to be a bit boring. No one wants to listen to advice unless it is from Aamir Khan!

Now that CC's personal strife has started I think audience should be interested. Problem is that the other Sony shows are also doing badly, so any amount of promotion on the channel is going to have a limited effect.
I also agree that a change of telecast timings may help(in fact have posted it to Sony as well) - they should move the show to 8.00 or 8.30 pm slot.

I don't seem to understand why the trps have fell. The show has definetly improved over the last two weeks and we also have a male lead now who can act. The story has got better, there was romance and we also had the marriage track which is always a trp garner. I for one is currently loving the show. I think the trp audience is looking for hard core drama and lots of rona dhona which the show on SP is providing them. I don't know how people can watch such shows. Anyway to each their own.
I'm glad SONY is coming out of this trp thing
