And I think the damage has already been done to the show and the viewership - Sorry my honest feelings. And with the schools starting in, I think it is early to bed/early to rise for the housewives and hence they are giving this a miss.

exactly..you said my words...I too think TRP is fair...there is nothing special in CC except Sanaya and SaNuj..

As far as I am personally concerned , I will always have a optimistic attitude towards the show and hope that it does better in future .

@Guinea:- You have a point. I didn't see a sizable jump in the TRPs after IPL ended. But that may be due to many reasons - I do see all the shows spread across the timeslot gaining viewership. I think the way you have to correlate the data would be - what all shows at one time slot got which TRP - that would be apples vs apples comparison. Some people may be busy at 8PM and some may be busy at 9PM and later on. So we can't compare the TRP for a 7'0 clock show vs TRP at 9'0 clock show. That being said, I feel now the TRP has distributed across the GECs and not only the 4 big channels and that was the point I was trying to make. On SP dominating the TRP front, I don't think that is happening because SP still has the lowest TRP for its 7:30 and 8:30 PM shows which according to the general viewership is the prime slot.

For me I just came in today to the forum to check on the TRPs as this has become an habit of mine since IPK - it is akin to seeing your kids getting results. Not following the show as such but yes on thursday, definitely will pop in the forum to check how the show is faring. I kind of went away from the Indian TV scenario I think, so these days I watch shows with complete detachment.

@sarada i agree with you at some points. digitization has given a clear picture of trps at least for some channels like sab. many shows are getting good trps. i dont think trps are fake every time.because on the same sony channel crimepatrol,cid and maha rana pratap are getting there fine share of trps. maharana pratap is getting good trps even it is just 3 weeks old because story is really good there and its improving .they dont have star value like we have sanaya. but story representation is good . trps are decided on story not on actor.

I am a silent reader in the forum but do not write as I do not want to get into the fan wars and am not given to drool on any of the actors. I am a fan of the show/s and not actors(I agree with someone who said that they are grown up and mature to fight thier own battles and know what is good for them). However I have liked Sanaya in Fanaa and watched her previous show as well.

I tried posting feedback on the show on the sony site but the word limit is a dampener -was waiting for them to respond so that I could elaborate but they do not seem interested. Someone said here that the makers read IF - so am posting here.

1) I think the makers made a big mistake by not focussing on the conflict from the start. They focussed on the romance which we all know was a flop no thanks to the great acting talent that the makers chose to introduce. To an extent the Purvi track was ok till the newspaper apology part but later on I think they messed it up .

2) A bigger problem I think is CC characterisation. Supposedly Modern , but for the clothes she could be a bahu from any other soap. CC needed to be fun for the audience to be interested in her(seeing that the show revolves around her) but is sadly a bit of a bore

3) All the tracks upto the marraige were badly concieved and executed including the manner in which UB first coerces Manav not to marry CC and then breaks off the engagement.

4) While marraige is supposed be a TRP raiser, this was the most shabbily executed marraige sequence I have ever seen. Rituals were jumbled up and the eco friendly marraige was OTT and extremely tasteless

By this time , obviously the audience has lost all interest in the show.

The show has become interesting only now with the new ML and after CC has moved into Manav's house. How much of the audience will come back ofcourse depends on the makers . But with DABH doing really well and the romance back in PR , I think the makers have a huge task on thier hand of bringing the audience back.

They had a good concept , extremely good actors (except for the ML which was a big mistake) but the makers really messed up the show in the first 2 months in all ways possible.

Lastly and this is my opinion, some good shows also have the same TRP as CC. If despite CC being crappy has managed these TRPs , there is no doubt that Sanaya is a star.
