See regarding the TRPs, none of us blamed Farhan for it. At least I never saw that in this forum. We know this show is on Sony and the storyline was very average, there were no high expectations from the TRPs. That is something Farhan made up in his head, apparently.

It is true that many of us found the show hard to watch with Farhan opposite Sanaya. I mean, did you see him act? It was pure torture. His creepy facial expressions, excessive blinking, horrid body language and dialogue delivery...its like you didn't want him to go near Sanaya, that's usually not a good sign for the male lead. It was driving a lot of people away from the show and I'm sure he knows that. Its okay, everyone is not perfect at acting in their first show. He should have moved on quietly. My biggest problem with him is how he handled his exit...he made it personal by dragging Sanaya, her boyfriend, her previous show into it...it was a bad move. If I was Sanaya, I'd be offended that he tried to suggest she didn't like him because she wanted her boyfriend for his role. There is NO basis for that assumption of his, its very insulting to her integrity as a professional.

I stopped watching the show after the first week and it was 90% because of Farhan and 10% because of the story. That is how much he bothered me. Its still not the best show on TV but at least I get to watch my favorite actress with Anuj, a good actor, so that will be better than nothing.

Please do watch his episodes with patience (because it really needs patience to watch FK's acting)..

Then, just forget about sanaya irani, trp, CC ... everything about the show and on the basis of FK's acting only, make an honest opinion -- "do you think, by any standard, FK deserves to be an actor, that also as a lead, in Indian TV industry??"

He was replaced because he was a terrible actor. And instead of accepting the fact, he started making negative comments about his co-star, who happens to be a popular and brilliant actor (given SI has two back to back hit shows).

And you expected her fans not to react??

My bottom line is, please watch FK's acting and decide on him, not on Sanaya's fandom!

I am definitely not a blind Sanaya fan. And, I'm a casual CC watcher. I watched in the beginning solely for SI, and quickly realized that - as you mentioned - CC just simply is not a great show. With or without FK.

But, being a reader on this forum, I disagree that the majority blame FK for the show not succeeding. But, he was a factor. Even though CC is not marketed as a love story, the first few months of the show focused on ChanChan and Manav getting together. FK and SI had zero chemistry. And, alot of that is because FK was just not a good enough actor. But, still, the entire blame of the show is not on him.

As for the actor who shall not be named. Whether or not he is overrated remains to be seen. He was brilliant in the role he was given, and that's why he has so many fans. If FK had been brilliant in the role he had been given, he would have many fans too. Comparisons are not needed to form an opinion on someone's acting ability. Also, I do think the reaction to Anuj has been mostly positive. Viewers are not blind - we can tell immediately that he has an ease in front of the camera which will fit better with Sanaya. But, nobody is sitting here expecting CC to be the second-coming of IPK.

Anyways, let's see if the show improves now that FK is gone. That is the real litmus test.
