TRP is one measurement of viewership, but is a faulty one and definitely not representative. However, SONY seems to be opting out of TAM system.

I know you're a Sanaya fan and I'm also sure you know how they are 😳 (with the exception of a few which I think exist in every fandom)

I have been saying this from day one of Farhan being replaced, people who blame Farhan only for the low TRPs, are plain WRONG. There are two things that bring TRPs (according to me) the story and the actors. The actors need to be good and have chemistry. Even though Manav isn't a big character in the show, the actor still needs to be good because he will have to romance Chhanchhan and it's really cringeworthy to see a bad actor doing that. Just look at the forum now. People are happy with Anuj and Sanaya. He is not a phenomenal actor but he can act. And he has chemistry with Sanaya. About the story, sadly I have to agree. I think almost all the Sanaya fans think the same. The story is preachy, OTT and melodramatic. But we're hanging on for Sanaya. We're hoping it gets better, believe me, I'm a sucker for love stories and it's so hard for me to watch Chhanchhan. But I hope that the show gets better for Sanaya's sake and works out.

If worse comes to worse, it will end and Sanaya will come back in a better show.. 😳

Yes, you did mention this in your previous post, but it also seems quite obvious if you follow shows. There is also no accountability of online viewing, international viewers and segmented viewership in a country like India.

This can go on...but we are all on same page on this.

Well all i can say is that i will be closely observing now how the show performs since the SO CALLED reason for the show-failure /low trp is gone .

I stopped watching the show in the beginning becoz i couldn't handle Farhan's acting but then i realised that FK is not the only reason for it being a flop show for me , it's many things collectively which are horribly wrong . I like Anuj and have watched him in previous shows but i still can't bring myself to watch chanchan.

As far as sanaya and FK are concerned , we all know that sanaya and FK were not on great terms on personal front but that shouldn't affect professional front but we would never know what really happened behind closed doors . Public Celebs say different things onscreen when everyone is watching then but say and do something else behind closed doors.

I have constantly seen posts bashing and name calling FK on this forum and the comments on TB article and FB prove how fans treat him and got overboard once again. I agree that may be he should have been quiet but just don't understand why only sanaya, he could have blamed anybody else as well.

As far as fitting in Anuj is concerned it's only 3 days , it was the same reaction when FK started so i will just wait and watch.

And for the actor who can't be named is concerned , all i would say is that he was bashed/hated for keeping quiet and not speaking the truth while FK is mercilessly bashed for opening his mouth 😕

Agree to whatever you have said...

The show lacked the suspense,quality ,execution and all...Things didn't click for this show as expected...Somethings look good on paper and when screened seem to be entirely different..May be this is what happened with CC..I have always said this, and i am saying it again..FK cannot be blamed entirely for the downfall of the show but he is definitely a part of it...

Between RC good that you have mentioned that it was a joke else people here are ready to jump their guns on you...😉

@bold that is not true ,..the data is defo checked n stuff but cos of the faulty system it's not taken into account ..as in not a widespread ,measure ...

Anyway chuck it it's very complicated n Difficult to understand ...sigh

I agree with half of your post completely. This show and it's storyline is so boring there's no two questions to that 😳 If you ask me honestly, like someone else said, we're hanging on for Sanaya. Someone made a post asking "if it wasn't for Sanaya, would you be watching Chhanchhan" and majority answered no. The story is very cliche, there's nothing very interesting to it and it's too predictable. I wish they would realize the saas bahu isn't working for the audience. Sanaya is such an amazing actress, we all know what she is capable of after IPK, and I do think that she deserves A LOT better. But, I'm a fan and I feel that I should support her in whatever project she takes up. I admit I haven't watched many episodes but now that Anuj is here and the chemistry works, I've started watching again, hoping the TRPs increase too.

About Sanaya fans blaming Farhan only for TRPs, where did you read that? I've been very active on the forum and do go through majority of the posts. Maybe I missed the posts you're talking about but that's not the case. We have all been saying since a very long time, that Farhan needs to be replaced as he's one of the reasons people aren't watching. The day news came out of Anuj coming into the show, the old Sanaya fans started coming back to the forum. You can see how active the forum is too now. An actor can't make or break a show, but they can bring it down. And that's what Farhan was doing. If people are blaming him solely, then they are wrong.

For me the main problem is in ChanChan,s Story..

Its nothing New..

Not the actors..

yeah there is a certain disliking and likinig towards particular people...

But still People are working harder..

Lets wish their Hardwork pays off..

All respect for Sanaya

and may Allah gives hiddayat to FK..he should really not speak much against his co stars!!

I am definitely not a blind Sanaya fan. And, I'm a casual CC watcher. I watched in the beginning solely for SI, and quickly realized that - as you mentioned - CC just simply is not a great show. With or without FK.

But, being a reader on this forum, I disagree that the majority blame FK for the show not succeeding. But, he was a factor. Even though CC is not marketed as a love story, the first few months of the show focused on ChanChan and Manav getting together. FK and SI had zero chemistry. And, alot of that is because FK was just not a good enough actor. But, still, the entire blame of the show is not on him.

As for the actor who shall not be named. Whether or not he is overrated remains to be seen. He was brilliant in the role he was given, and that's why he has so many fans. If FK had been brilliant in the role he had been given, he would have many fans too. Comparisons are not needed to form an opinion on someone's acting ability. Also, I do think the reaction to Anuj has been mostly positive. Viewers are not blind - we can tell immediately that he has an ease in front of the camera which will fit better with Sanaya. But, nobody is sitting here expecting CC to be the second-coming of IPK.

Anyways, let's see if the show improves now that FK is gone. That is the real litmus test.
