Had great expectations from CC but after a few episodes I was pissed...skipped a few episodes...am watching JUST COZ I LOVE SANAYA!!!!!!!!

Hope this shows ends soon on a HIGH note.

I dont think SANAYA made a mistake choosing this show...shes experimenting and it s healthy to do that.

Supriya ji is not making her mark either!!!!!!!!!

FK might be a very poor actor and also, obviously not the smartest person (I agree with your diagnosis of delusional) in the world based on his interview.

But I'll say this. Sanaya did a very uncool thing by commenting on his acting skills first. It's obvious they weren't friends (and that's fine- you don't need to be best friends with your co-workers, you only need a professional working relationship), and it was obvious for the world to see that he wasn't doing a good job. What was uncalled for (and unprofessional) of her was to comment on TV that she wants a good actor to replace him. Tacitly, she acknowledged what everyone knew- that he wasn't a good actor. The problem with that is : It's not professional. If you think you're colleague is doing a poor job, you tell your boss your problem. You don't announce it to the world. Sanaya did that- she sold her colleague (and peer-she should've respected that, if nothing else) short and that's not done.

FK reacted after he was kicked out by giving this dumbass interview. Why did he give it?

1). He was pissed at Sanaya for whatever XYZ reasons.

2). He has nothing to lose. I think it's pretty obvious to him and everyone else that his TV career is fairly over (for the moment) at least.

And finally, bang on about Sanaya not being herself in the off screen segments. I think the way IPK ended really affected her. She's not over it yet. I think she rushed into this new show. She should've taken a sabbatical just to recover mentally. Of course, she knows best what she's doing. All I am saying is, she's not the old Sanaya Irani. The sparkle has dimmed. And that's just sad, 'cos she was a spirited, fun gal and (still is) a very good actor. Now she just comes across as jaded, and honestly, slightly pissed with the world with all her poorly-veiled sarcastic remarks.

All said, I wish her and the CC team nothing but the best. I hope that with the replacement, the show does very well for all their sakes.

Madmaxine,

I respect your POV. I know your reply is intended for the TM but I would give my two cents here. I agree that CC is not a great show. Having watched SI's last two shows and enjoying them from day one, CC hasn't managed to create the same impact on me. I do enjoy some of the episodes but until now, I haven't been fully impressed by any of the episodes ( except one or two) but I am still here and I really hope the makers can pull their socks up. I am already liking Sanaya's chemistry with Anuj and the present track has a lot of scope.

Now coming to the FK issue, I have no clue what goes on in the sets but none of the cast members (at least the ones who give interviews) were impressed by FKs work and we never saw much interaction between him and his co-actors in the offscreen segments. I don't know if you watched that particular segment of Sanaya or just read about it, but the interviewer had asked her a hypothetical question, 'If FK is replaced what kind of co-actor she would like.' Whether or not she should have answered it is debatable. But if you must know, Sanaya has never managed to be diplomatic and many people, including me actually appreciate this trait in her.

While I really appreciate Sanaya's bluntness, I too felt maybe she should have avoided the question, not because I see a problem in it, but because I knew it can be misconstrued and some people might try to use it for their advantage.

What's surprising is that three other actors from the show have directly talked about FKs acting in various interviews. A veteran actress like Supriya Pathak went on record saying it's very difficult to shoot with him. The actor who plays Manav's best friend said FK gives 30-40 takes for every scene and the actor playing CCs bro, even made fun of his acting. I agree that if there is a problem it should be dealt internally and not made public. It makes you wonder why three other actors from the show to criticized FKs work in public. Sanaya only expressed her wish to work with a good actor if FK is replaced and that too only when she was asked.

Soon after an article came out stating FKs family is unhappy with the PH for replacing him, FK gave an interview attempting to shoulder the blame on Sanaya by calling her uncooperative and unfriendly although in his earlier interviews (when he was still a part of the show) he called her very co operative and free of tantrums. It was obvious to everyone they were not friends. But he directly hinted that this is one of the reasons that lead him to quit. I just cannot believe that Sanaya would do something like that. She has worked with actors before who were not her friends but there has never been a problem.

His interview has been published everywhere. One of the sites published that Sanaya was unfriendly because she wanted her boyfriend in the show. It is a serious allegation and a direct attempt to malign SI and this is not just acceptable. The main reason for his replacement was his poor acting skills and he is blaming everyone and everything else other than himself.

I also feel IPK ending affected her and she's not over it yet. In fact it affected all the actors from the show and you can see how much they all miss it. But not every set is IPK set and not every cast and crew will be like IPK cast and crew. So we can't expect Sanaya to be exactly like the way she was on IPK set. I am sure she's enjoying here too, but IPK team was like a family.

I don't know how long you've been following her but Sanaya has always been a little sarcastic. She might be a little pissed for some reason or it could be just stress. After all her profession is highly demanding and that can be very tiresome at times.

I hope the makers work on the script and characterizations now and show does well. Hopefully with the positive changes in the show, the show will improve and with cooperative set of co-actors around her, her work will become less stressful and we will once again see the old Sanaya. Wishing Sanaya and CC all the best.

Perfect post...I agree with u 99% but I don't think Sanaya will regret taking it..she took it bcos she wanted to come out of Kushi image and didn't want to do a romantic show as everyone would compare it to IPK..this was perfect fit and PH is also very successful with saas bina sasural and comedy circus as hits..but the execution was poor..but ow is picking pace..lets give it a chance..one thing I hate about Sony is they archly give any time to any show..they just shut them within 6 months..!!!!! Look at colors..they run the same crap read Uttaran(I used t watch this show in 2010!!) for years and years..

Replying to some points...
@mads - Although I totally respect your view, I don't agree that Khushi was a poorly written character, or that Chanchan is a good character. For me, a good character is one that is layered and is complex, and is interesting to watch. The character of Khushi may have been loud on the surface, but she was also very layered. She was an orphan, she had pain but was used to hiding it, she was head-strong, she was a nautanki, she was naive, but she was a fighter. Chanchan is a girl from a nice family who trains dogs, loves her family and friends, and like to do good things. Maybe on the surface she isn't loud and crazy like Khushi was, but underneath there isn't much going on. Sanaya could do this role in her sleep. On a daily tv show, there needs to be a point of interest. Chanchan might be a "nice" girl. But, that isn't interesting enough to make me watch every day. And, perhaps the show isn't typical because we will see a bahu who doesn't succumb to her saas... but at the end of the day, the treatment so far has been nothing special. And, until the treatment and execution offers something new and fresh - it seems typical to me. Just my point of view. 😊
@madmaxine - I do recall Sanaya making a few indirect references to FK. One was the one you mentioned (that if he is replaced that they should just bring a good actor). And, there was another one where she said that she misses Barun when she is doing scenes now. Also, I did not like when the actor playing her brother was making fun of FK and Sanaya was laughing a little. I think, at the time, I did feel like she maybe should not have said / done those things. Simply because, as a new actor, FK obviously wasn't going to be very good, but as a costar she could have kept those things to herself. It brings down morale in the workplace anytime a co-worker makes another co-worker feel like a failure at their job. That being said, I do agree that Sanaya is someone who is very honest. I think she tried her very best to be as professional as possible. Who knows what really went on behind the scenes. But, I am glad, for her sake, that she seems happier now with Anuj. I realize that co-actors don't need to be friends, but I'm sure it is much easier when you at least are comfortable with the other person.

Al the points bang on. I so loved the 'pala' thing. We are hopeless, can't think of anything without the touch of IPK.
