Loved your take on the episode. I haven't watched the episode yet, will catch it sometime over the weekend.

You know Diya, I was wondering if it was just me- his weird fixed smile/stare is really creeping me out too. Obviously, he can't see himself when he does that, is the director blind? Why doesn't he point it out? Why doesn't he tutor him in expressions? It's really uncomfortable at times. For this, I want to call the director out. This is really huge- the male lead must not have creepy smiles. Esp when the guy is supposed to be a nice simple person.

Haven't seen the episode yet Diya but I don't need to to agree with your last sentence. It seems as though Sanaya's fanbase cares more about trps then the people who've invested their money in the show. My other gripe is the use of Bharti - I love Bharti Singh on Comedy Circus and have no issue with her but with other shows bringing in the likes of Ranbir Kapoor couldn't the PH have done better? Also you have the dancing diva Sanaya Irani in your cast and it's her characters engagement and she has no dedicated dance number? It could easily have been a part of the storyline with UB being disapproving...a little cliched but what's new recently.

It's such a shame that the majority of the cast is doing their job so well but are being let down by the PH/channel.

Jaya, that's why I am now watching with zero expectations ... the makers plan to keep this a "light-hearted show" ... if their definition of light hearted is comedy like Bharati, then this is what we are going to get 😕 I like Bharati too, but her comedy seemed forced yesterday ... it was too out of the blue.

I watched half an episode of the new PV ... there too a marriage is happening, and the bride to be dances on a soulful number. Here too, they could easily have made Chhanchhan dance ... let Umaben disapprove ... or even better, since the Borisagars were dancing, one of them could have pulled her on to the floor ... Umaben fumes, but can't do anything. It could have easily been worked into the storyline ... with such a graceful dancer like Sanaya in the cast, why did they miss the opportunity? Unless her leg is not fully okay ... then it makes sense.

I think he is still very uncomfortable on screen. and it shows. He is unable to lose himself in the character and let go of himself. That's the feeling I got from the offscreen segments. Everyone was laughing and enjoying the masti ... it was chill out time for them, as Bharti was rehearsing her dance ... but this guy was sitting stiffly all through. He is also uncomfortable with the rest of the cast for whatever reason, so that translates on to screen.

Manav sure is smitten with ChhanChhan isn't he? Reminds me of a Woody Allen quote - "The heart wants what it wants. There's no logic to these things..." I cant seem to remember the last part of that quote though...

Lets hope ChhanChhan finds her happy space...and for her sake, Manav starts observing things around him, and not just remain confined to that happy bubble given how his mom is conspiring against his dreams...

Yep, right now Manav thinks all is well in his world ... don't blame the guy, he has always been maa ka laadla, so it was a shock to see his mom conspiring to shatter his dreams. Now that she has reassured him she loves him and won't do anything of the sort, he is on happy juice and only dreaming about his girl and his upcoming wedding. While Manthan has picked up that his mom is acting very uncharacteristically.

Am talking only about the characters here ... I am TRYING to make one post without saying anything about the actor 😉
