That pic of the dream sequence with him looking only at himself in the mirror was very telling ... he is just not playing the character Manav ... even in the middle of a scene, if he is not acting properly, then the director should point it out and re-shoot ... his smile is always held back and never reaches his eyes, except for very few instances just after the wildlife camp when it did seem he was trying more.

In the dance with Bharti, I would expect that a happy go lucky guy would just join in the fun and dance ... not stand stiffly with an awkward half smile on his face ... again, is it the actor or the director's fault? Considering that all the other actors were perfectly in character throughout the episode, it can't be bad direction ...

Diya, I know the other actors were almost perfect in their execution, but by now the director must know that Farhaan has issues emoting. I just wished, that for the sake of the scene, he'd not give up till he made him deliver. Stay on his case till he gets it right, or at least gets half way there. Manav may be secondary after the wedding, but this was supposed to be a romantic scene. For once, it was written well, there was no cheesy music. But how can one overlook the man looking creepy. He's in love, this is just creepy. (I'm talking about their dreams on Mehendi) .

last night's episode is a real treat to watch really, and its worth the repeat.
i thoroughly enjoyed watching both clans putting on their dancing shoes,
especially manav's family, since i thought ub is strict with such things..

I guess that's what the director was doing ... or trying to, till now. But if the net result after the 50th take is the same as the result after the first, then after a point, it's just a waste of time. I think with a couple of the scenes with Supriya, they shot the two actors separately ... that's what it looked like on screen ... so as not to waste Supriya's time.

The dream sequence was not too bad for me during the times he was looking at Chhanchhan ... there he was okay. Maybe because his expressions could not be seen much when his head was bent towards Chhanchhan. But the moment they showed his face it went wrong, he just hasn't got the right loving dreamy expression ... the problem also is that his costar has got it pat, so the contrast shows up again.

What got me annoyed was the constant harping on the kiss ... his expressions HAD to be spot on there ... because this was a man in love teasing his soon to be wife ...
His expressions were more like challenging ... like the girl is fending off his advances and he is going after her regardless. Sanaya was spot on ... Chhanchhan's worry was not the kiss ... but the fact that he wanted it in front of everyone ... he ruined it with his expression and his dialogue delivery, which was also too challenging. There was no hint of laughter or teasing in it ... which was essential!
