I've watched the previous show from this PH (saas bina sasuraal) and in that series, I started watching just some random episode (I did not know any actor), and I thoroughly enjoyed it a lot...because of the tight script it had.. the problem with chanchan is that many people are tuning to it only and only for Sanaya and expecting a LOT from it just coz it has Sanaya and Supriya in it. - expecting something different, something extra ordinary.. but maybe this show is not about the extrraodinary larger than life situations... maybe this is just how to look at ordinary things differently..or what happens when u shed a light on ur ordinary day to day mundane boring things in life..
Farhan isn't extra ordinary at all, but I think he is much better than both of Sanaya's previous co-actors when they first began their respective shows with her..he already got better with dialogue delivery by the end of the last scene today and I felt his expressions were spot on from the beginning.. he isn't totally new to acting...he's a theatre person, so I am damn sure he'll improve..
I was afraid that Sanaya would have a major khushi hangover in this one, but she has surprised me with the first epi itself, with the mature poise of chanchan..
Supriya appears to be an evil saas right now, but just because I have faith in this PH, I can say that it will not be so... "bhagwan sabka bhaa karein, lekin shuruvat mujhse karein"..I think this is the gist of umaben..selfish, arrogant, shrewdly diplomatic and knows how to get her way around people just by her words..
Yes, chanchan's family is weird, they could have shown liberal thinking parents having normal jobs, like dad a businessman and mom a teacher.. sister, a tattoo artist and brother, a photographer is fine to me, since they are shown to be younger than chanchan and still figuring out what to do in life... however, with dad as modern artist and mom as teacher (not to mention, eldest daughter as dog trainer), I wonder where all the income comes from.. 😆 esp to live in a pretty well to do house.. atleast all ekta shows have the huge (unknown) family business running to explain all the money.. 😆 that's the only bit I found funny.. but apart from that it seemed ok to me..
so the point of this long post is not to convince u to like it or anything, but just to say that maybe this show isn't what u think it is about..
lastly, I would feel insulted if I was a gujarathi and you called my culture annoying on a public forum like this..so please refrain from doing so..atleast in these places that can evoke fights which could be totally avoided otherwise!
