Shahzaib's only flaw was that he was trying to keep everyone happy. Iss chakkar main sandwich hoke reh gaya bechara. And once again I can't help but wonder how stupid Nageen was Had she just given him a chance then majaal naa hoti kisiki usko insult karne ki. He would have fought the world for her.

ITV has made quantity the priority over quality. Doordarshan used to air such quality material before Ekta started Mon-Thurs and eventually Mon-Fri.

One or two daily soaps are okay which go on for years, or air a show 5 days a week and finish it in few months like telenovelas. But this unnecessary dragging and shit is nonsense. 😆

Actually that MPTH ke remake ke promos dekho. Its got such a happy, comic style of presentation which is disturbing. The lead is clearly staring at the rich businessman and still it has such a peppy style. 😳

@bold: I remember there was one show, I think on NDTV Imagine, where the lead was like main pure parivaar ko ek karke rahungi, coz ghar ko literally chalk se do hisso mein baata gaya tha 🤣 And then she's super mean to the family, sets some ultimatum and upar ke floor se voh dekh rahi hai ki all the members are discussing about her and are worried, so they are walking around the living room, crossing the boundaries 🤣🤣

Precisely. This tradition of dragging a show till 3000+ episodes is what turned out to be the bane of ITV. If they were limited to 50-100 episodes at most then maybe the so called creatives would actually use their creative cells for a change and the actors would not be wasted either. I tried out telenovelas during the lockdown and ,to my utter surprise,the plots are similar to ITV to an extent with all the melodrama and twists and turns. However,unlike ITV shows,they are finite in nature which is why they manage to retain their entertaining factor until the very end. ITV isn't even entertaining anymore.

Abhi dekha MPTH ke remake waala promo. The dude who is cast as the male lead cannot act to save his life and I am saying this because I have seen him in another show. I have no comments on the female lead. Manav Gohil,who plays the businessman,is a good actor but it looks like he will be wasted in this one. This is another complaint that I have with ITV. They seldom cast actors on the basis of talent and chemistry nowadays.

Telenovelas are very interesting. It can be draggy with cliches, but because it runs for 3-4 months or something its fine. Idk if you remember but there was a channel called FIRANGI, that used to air telenovelas dubbed in Hindi and it had amazing content like Lalola, Second Chance (El Cuerpo Del Deseo), America and Love is in the Air (Schmetterlinge im Bauch). It was a shame it got shut down.

The only Krishna series I have watched from start to end was Shri Krishna by Ramanand Sagar. Brilliant acting, crisp writing, everything was perfect. Any show based on divinity should not be dragged even the slightest, its actually disrespectful to the deities.

Ya that Kaamna ki casting is damn weak. Abhishek Ravat who is playing Danish, is actually a good actor. I had liked him in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya and even saw him in Pratigya years ago. But the comparison's with Humayun and he's a flawless performer. Same goes for Manav, I know he'll do his best, but he cannot be Adnan Siddiqui. And I am not a shallow person but the core story of MPTH was that Mehwish was so freaking gorgeous that Shehrwar was enamoured from the first time he saw her and wanted her at all costs. I don't get that vibe from the heroine at all. MPTH's casting was flawless, every actor fit their roles perfectly. Here it seems disjointed and I haven't even watched the first episode.

What disturbed me the most is that the concept is very serious. A woman ruins her family for her own selfish gains. Her one action caused such severe issues for so many people, especially her son who was traumatised. They had done such a fabulous job to show Rumi's behaviour after Mehwish left.

And yahan the promo was all light and funny. Like wtf did they even understand the assignment?

Haan true, Shahzaib pis gaya tha in sabke beech. Upar se Isra Haaris ko apne se dur nahi karti thi. Toh Shahzaib ke hisaab se voh puri duniya se ladh raha hai Isra ke liye, menawhile Isra Haaris ke saath baar baar nazar aati hai.

Nageen was a dumbo. I am not saying ladke ko dekhte hi haan keh do. But uski insult toh mat karo. Sultan jab bola kahi baithke baat karte hai akele mein it wasn't coz he wanted to touch her inappropriately. But he was a known figure (1 million Insta followers) and had his own image to take care of. Open mein baat kaise karta voh Media wale aa jaate, usmein Nageen ki bhi badnaami hoti.

She couldn't see anything other than herself. Nahi toh had they gotten married properly the first time itself, he would've legit done anything for her. Uski jaan thi voh.

Dekha jaaye toh even Nageen paid for her stupidity. Usko Haroon jaisa husband and itne thankless in-laws mile. Chain hi nahi tha ladki ko.

Guys, one more thing.

Geo is re-uploading Mera Rab Waris episodes on YouTube, this time in proper HD. They've started some 10 days ago.

Idk if they'll upload all episodes or not, but its a Danish show which is getting uploaded for the THIRD time.

Maybe Deewangi might be re-uploaded or will be removed from region restriction soon.

@red, Ramanand Sagar's Shri Krishna is,in my opinion,the best series ever made on Govind. And the reason why it turned out to be perfect along with Ramayan was because Ramanand sir was not only a humble and grounded man but a visionary. He was passionate about TV and had plans to develop the medium to be at par with the big screen. At times I still wonder how different ITV would have been had it been him who spearheaded the industry instead of Ekta.

The current condition of ITV is deplorable. But what's most appalling is how low the producers and channels have sunk to cash on deities for ratings. The show I speak of has depicted things that are blasphemous Anyway Karma never misses an address.

@blue, The only show in which I have seen Abhishek is Dekha Ek Khwab and I have some really bad memories of him from those days. Maybe it was just his character that was highkey annoying but it's all ancient history now 😆 Totally agree about Manav and the female lead.

Concepts like MPTH are all about casting and execution. If either of the two is not upto the mark then it can turn out to be underwhelming and forgettable. Not only was MPTH well written but every character was nuanced and intricate. Be it the three leads,Rumi or Mateen sir,the writer handled every one of them properly and sensitively like one would care for a child. No wonder it turned out to be a masterpiece and masterpieces can't be replicated.

In her case,she was dealing with what happened to her friend. However itni toh samajh honi chahiye to understand the difference between a roadside romeo and a well educated gentleman. All Sultan wanted to do was talk to her. She could have agreed to meet him at some public place for coffee or lunch. Wahan pe toh woh kuch kar bhi nahi paata. She would have been impressed with him after speaking to him like she was during their courtship phase. And I bet my first salary that Sultan would have understood her concerns and apprehensions had she explained it to him properly and given her the space she needed.

U know, no matter the situation or the people involved, Shahzaib always fought for Isra. He went against everyone and did everything possible for her. But how much did Isra contribute to the relationship? She'd run away at the first signs of trouble. I am not saying Shahzaib picking up the gun or kicking Isra out of the house was right, but he did many many correct things. All Isra had to do was tell her brother than Haaris is making her uncomfortable and is continuously hitting on her. And she should have told Shahzaib about the times Haaris used to corner her (like the car scene when Shahzaib was in the ice cream parlour and Haaris came to the car to confess his "love"). I swear Hammad aur Shahzaib dono milke phodhte usko.

I understand Nageen's concerns. Come on we are all girls here, we know what its like when random dudes hit on us. But like you said, there is a difference between a roadside aashiq and a padha-likha gentleman. There are some real weirdos who have approached me but those I get away from, on the other hand some genuinely decent men have also tried to talk to me and I did respond to them respectfully, but I wasn't interested so I denied. They even understood and respected my choice, because of the way I spoke to them.

I can guarantee you that if Nageen would have agreed to go for coffee and told Sultan that her friend would come along too he would have no problem. That way it would be a public place, Nageen would have cushioning and Sultan wouldn't have to worry about the media.

Beginning se hi she was rude, then she hurt his self-respect, then he got angry and the entire ring-slap fiasco happened, then she had the audacity to go and haath jodho after the entire mess and say "please keep me out of this", then he took revenge...toh ye sab start kisne kiya 😆
