I haven't even read Meghdut. But a portion of it was mentioned in one of the poems when we were in 12th standard. How Jakkha was cursed and Jakkhapriya sent him her message through clouds It was just too beautiful and heartbreakingly romantic. 🥺 😭

Par jab tak 12th mein pouche, syllabus change ho gaya. 😭 Aur kuch stories aise bhi the which were far better than the ones included in our syllabus. Pata nahi kya soch ke woh include nahi kiya board walo ne. 🤔

Same here. I had a major disappointment with my English syllabus of class 8th. The batch before me used to have "Macbeth" whereas we had "As You Like It" and I never liked it. Gladly it was changed to "The Merchant Of Venice" in 9th.

Similarly, the 11th batch before us had "Julius Caesar" whereas we had "Much Ado About Nothing".
