Apologies for the delay in announcing the third and final round of the recruitment. I have just been busy outside of IF.

Congrats to you all for making it to the final round... as mentioned in the PM this is a team thread you need to produce which is why I opened this thread so you all can discuss here and I can also watch over this as I will be looking at how well you contribute within the team & how well you work together. That's all. I won't interfere with anything else unless you need me to.

You can post the final posts here... please ensure all discussions take place here ONLY.

The theme for the team thread is "impact of the pandemic on the world of cinema". This includes tv too as I don't want you to feel this is restricted. This is open to your interpretation so you can go anyway you like with this. If you have any questions, fire away here and I'll try to answer but as I mentioned this is a broad theme/concept so you are open to interpret it in anyway you like.

Deadline: 5th April 2021.

If you do need support with graphics, you can approach an external graphicer but please be sure to credit them in your final posts.

After this round is complete, can you also send me a PM advising me of your experience working within this team and any issues you experienced etc. Of course if there is anything that can't wait until the thread is complete, please be sure to PM me and be assured the conversation will be strictly private.

Hi all! This is Subha.

The entire world came to a standstill because of the pandemic. Every sector suffered huge losses including bollywood and television. Actors and actresses earning in lakhs and crores may not have got much affected but the people working behind the camera, junior artists etc. got hugely affected. People lost their jobs, found difficulty fulfilling their basic needs, etc.

Whats our line of thought going to be on the topic given ... one aspect def for cinema is the tremendous shift to OTT and then in terms of TV how they have managed to regain lost ground may be ?

One aspect we should add is also how much more cutthroat TV has become. They end TV shows immediately if TRPs fall now. No more chances.

For movies, the pandemic has given rise to content-driven demand. Look at how badly some of the star kid movies flopped. And a movie like Khuda Haafiz got such craze. This has also led to a shift in the marketing strategy of films. Before, only star kid intro movies would get BW actor support. But Gangubai Kathiawadi got so much BW actor buzz because Alia was getting so much hate.

I can definitely do the writing/editing.

We could divide it out into 2 or 3 posts. A few options could be TV, OTT, and movies. Or the good and the bad.
