Yes ..it's very sad ...our text books covers only war of independence to a larger extent ... Nowadays kids just know the names of three Tamil empires...other than that nothing...still our kids study only Russian revolution and Czechoslovakia revolution elaborately.. This is the sad state of our text books even now ..
Yes....world history is needed...but not this elaborately... instead of that they should cover our ancient Indian history before the independence war...

So true, I agree .. we don’t need this in textbooks but we need this displayed in all famous tourist attractions. Our ancient kings documented most in the form of kalvettu, now we are carving “ Vijay loves Priya” on that .. we are only destroying our history. Government should take measures to protect that and also in every tourist attraction we need to display all the historic details inside a glass panel ..
