Its been quite a while since I logged in at IF. How are you guys doing?

RIP Sridevi... India's first and perhaps the only female superstar. About the media coverage, the BBC guy had quite rightly said almost a decade back... India has no news media, it has just tabloids... or rather babbloids i.e. babbling tabloids.

Completely off desi soaps and been watching web series lately. Haq Se is fabulous ⭐️. Anyone else watched it? It's unbelievable it is from the same production house as YHM.

Who is the female who was prompting the child to talk when she forgot her (mugged atleast 100 times) scripted words?

If I am not mistaken the kid hails from a very poor family in North east..I wouldn't be surprised one bit if the girl was coaxed by presents to say all this .either out of pressure or greedinigr on parents part

It's disgusting (but not surprising) to see singers like Shaan, Shekhar, Monali, Shreya come out and defend Papon..they themselevs might have several skeletons in their closet waiting to tumble out..

It's sad to see how children (another contestant came out to defend papons kiss) are being convinced that papons actions were akin to fatherly love and affection instead of him being called out and punished for it. What we saw looks like just the tip of the tip of an iceberg that is systematic abuse by people in powern

Not sure how many of you saw the YRF show Powder when it first came out in 2009

Pretty happy Netflix India is airing it for its subscribers

I hope it's finds good viewership on Netflix and they plan a season 2 and start airing other YRF shows like rishta.com and kismat

Powder was one of the most well made show on indian television

Caveat: might feel dated as it came out in 2009 and rushed in later episodes coz they weren't sure of season 2

Anyone read the tweets of Ravindra Jadeja? He is bashing journalists and politicians for covering the death and making it a cheap publicity👏👏 He also wonders where are those lobbyist who were up for Zaira Wasim now and not having a hashtag for Papon kissing that young girl. This news about Sridevi has made Papon news less important. Speak about media and journalism.

ST - YRF did have good shows. I am wondering why did they stop producing them? I too am looking for online links if any for HAQ SE.

Today on radio a question was asked what we miss from yesteryears so I am asking the same here😃

For me although social media is a blessing for us videshis it is a headache and i so want to be in the life before that. I don't want to live a life where i can be filmed or my picture taken and is on web😆

Dude, the way her death was sensationalised and written about is sickening.

Just caught a glimpse of her last photo in Mumbai, I feel numb with shock. No matter what we do or say, eventually its gonna be this way, for one and all. deeply saddened.
