And the worst part is that the apex court has to decide such silly cases. I think all such practices should be made taxable if they cannot be banned.
I dont think average Indian girls include the girls you are referring to . I can say this because I live in the remote corner of India where child marriage is still rampant, 19 years is ladki ki shadi ka time nikal gaya and all that. Frankly, Ecri in this section you will find two types of women. One like Gehna from Balika vadhu who was pushed into marriage and first nighy sex ( read rape) and Sugna who was dying to consummate her marriage. My maid is around 16 or 17 and she is on leave almost every week.Almost every Sunday.
Any guesses?

About soup and ypur convo, Yes, I will read it.

Barun Sobti and Shahana Goswami's chemistry in Tu Hai Mera Sunday became a talking point. Looking at the response, the makers have decided to make a spin-off film with their characters, Arjun and Kavi.

It will be a romantic film taking their relationship further. Says Barun, "Arjun and Kavi got widely appreciated in the movie as they are easy and very relatable. Hence the makers have thought of making a movie based on these characters' lives. I am excited that I will get to work with this team again. Working with Shahana was a great experience and I am looking forward to this.

So Sobti has a confirmed web-series, two actually and a movie now. And he is definitely reading more movie scripts. I am happy for him, but then, I can see that to position himself in the BW space, he would need to work on that, and whatever it takes to do that, would have to be done, even prioritising the medium he works on.

Anyhow, its obvious he is sticking to the PHs he has worked with and who have liked his work to sign him on for more projects and I am sure slowly but steadily he will be looking at working with other banners too.

Idk, THMS worked for a number of reasons and one of the biggest being bromance or boy-bonding. But its true, the chemistry of the leads was very natural and easy and their story was wrapped hap-hazardly in the end. Anyway, since the team is good, I am sure they will have a tight script and would this time give it more presence in terms of distribution.

But my only grouse with the projects that Sobti is working on is that they all have marketed and positioned him as a chocolate boy or a romance material and looks like he is being stereotyped there. No there is nothing wrong with it, cos many actors including SRK were positioned as romance kings, but in that space too he had variety of roles to showcase his talent which sort of worked for him and made him a star. But unfortunately everyone isnt as lucky as SRK. And since Sobti as an actor has great potential, I would like to see him in more challenging roles, that work to present him more as an actor and less a romantic lead.

@bold 🤣 Yes I know what you mean. This category of lower strata young girls and even boys are so bloody frustrated that its insane how they behave.

And you know no matter how much we name call the open society for impacting the culture and the young minds, the fact is, a close society is far more dirty and definitely despicable.

No Dey, why should women pay to visit temples? They are as much humans as men, so if they have to pay, then so should the men.

Are I meant taxable, pay huge tax to govt to keep this kind of practice that violates the constitutional right to equality. If these people want such ridiculous thing to stay then they should pay also.

After the success at the film Festivals I had genuinely hoped that THMS would have a fab opening outside India. Anyway, its all water under the bridge and I hope for the next movie Milind opts for more screens. I am sure the less screen space ate into the business of the film and its commercial success as well. If movies like SMS and Bhoomi can do well, then so can THMS.

https://accessbollywood.net/2017/10/09/bollywood-box-office-october-6-8-2017/amp/

Two new Hindi films had disastrous opening weekends in North America from October 6-8, 2017. The higher-profile release Saif Ali Khan's Chef took in $57,179 from 64 theaters ($893 average; adjusted average of $1,059 from 54 theaters*), according to Bollywood Hungama. Even with a modest theater count, one would expect better from a remake of an American film with a big star opening on Columbus Day weekend.

The weekend's other new release Tu Hai Mera Sunday tanked, predictably. The movie had a mostly unrecognizable cast, and there was no advanced publicity for its international release. It was no surprise, then, that Tu Hai Mera Sunday made just $4,253 from 20 theaters ($213 average) over the weekend, according to Sumit Chadha.

The recent lousy debuts of movies like Tu Hai Mera Sunday and Haseena Parkar have me scratching my head as to why many low-budget Hindi movies still opt for theatrical releases in the United States and Canada, especially with so much competition among streaming services for new Bollywood content. To date, 48 Hindi movies including multilingual movies like Baahubali 2 and The Ghazi Attack and special engagement releases like the movies of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh have opened in North American theaters this year. If the eight Hindi movies that I suspect will open here before the end of the year actually do so, that would make 56 Bollywood movies released in North America in 2017 four more titles than the previous record release year of 2014. What can be gained when a movie earns less than $10,000 in its opening weekend here, as is the case for six titles already this year? Eleven films haven't even made $50,000 over the courses of their theatrical runs. It's perplexing.

Other Hindi movies still in North American theaters:

Bareilly Ki Barfi: Week 8; $3,980 from three theaters; $1,327 average; $569,635 total
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan: Week 6; $2,418 from two theaters; $1,209 average; $629,427 total
Simran: Week 4; $1,350 from three theaters; $450 average; $404,301 total
Bhoomi: Week 3; $258 from three theaters; $86 average; $71,803 total
Toilet Ek Prem Katha: Week 9; $120 from one theater; $1,872,211 total
*Bollywood Hungama frequently counts Canadian theaters twice in when they report figures for a film's first few weeks of release. When possible, I verify theater counts at Box Office Mojo, but I use Bollywood Hungama as my primary source because they provide a comprehensive and consistent if flawed data set.

A sequel to THMS, I know this team will be having a script and the Jodi looks great!! But having said that I hope they've a bigger producer to sell the product. I see that he prefers to be in his comfort zones😆 no comments on that as it's choice at the end of the day. THMS didn't do well number wise , I wonder what gave Milind the confidence to go for a sequel.

Anything is better than being associated with pigeons hens and flying superhero stunts 😳

Ecri dear,
I was not even talking about premarital sex back there. I was saying, a lot of thought went into distinguishing between a long standing infatuation and love. I actually feel infatuation is a more heady feeling, love is much more complicated. So, if a girl or boy chose to have sex before marriage and fell out of love or infatuation, it is not really a big deal for me. I think societal norms made people think more carefully. Having said that, multiple love affairs are not uncommon and I don't judge people for it, so long as children don't suffer because of it. TBH, I didn't think it was a big deal when Dimple was seen with Sunny...because we don't know their story and I assume their children are now mature enough to handle this.

On arranged marriages, it doesn't really have to be a horrendous first night. I feel every man should read Kamasutra before his marriage. From what I remember, it teaches a man to respect and adore a woman's body, before making love to her. I think I must have read some abridged version, but it was very sensible.

What happens in real life...will largely agree with you all.
