I wake up to this horrible piece of news.
Cannot believe that she is no more.
When I was reading this news all that came to my mind was all the visuals from her movies and what a great time we had watching her in those movies.
Her life is an enigma her death is another enigma but the body of work she left behind is priceless and the appeal is timeless.

I can never forget her movie padinaru vayathinile which was remade in Telugu as padaharella vayasu she was mind blowing in that movie and was equally good in her last movie Mom.I can never forget that song Sindhoora puvve.

She added colour to our childhood through her movies.Back then I used to read fairy tales a lot and I used to try and imagine what those fairy tale princesses looked like and Sridevi fitted in those images so perfectly.❤️

RIP Queen of Indian Silver screen💔

@Bold - So true. Media is just overdoing with all their endless speculations over her death.
Wish they would concentrate on showing clippings of the fine work that she did over a span of fifty years out of her fifty four years of life.

My favourite movie of hers is the movie called Kshana Kshanam which was made by RGV. It is nothing short of poetry in visuals⭐️ That movie is a testimony of RGV's love and admiration for her.
Another favourite movie is again a Telugu movie called Akhari Poratam where she played an Intelligence officer.

Unfortunately Sadma is the last film where Sridevi and Kamal Hasan worked together. I so wanted them to do another movie which had a happy ending. They were one of my all time favourite on screen couple
After Kamal Sreedevi I liked her pairing with Nagarjuna. They both were a perfect match when looks height and age are taken into consideration.

I didn't like most of her Hindi films except for English Vinglish.I liked her performance and looks in Lamhe ,Chandini and Chaalbaaz though can't say the same about those flms.
Didn't like her pairing with any of those leading men from Hindi too.

Hi all😊
Hope you had a lovely time celebrating Holi.

Watching a lot of digital content these days.

Downton Abbey is available on Amazon Prime now.Finished season 1 now on to season 2.It's really engrossing.Sometimes it feels like an Indian soap in English😆I guess we Indians connected to this when it aired because of the drama that happened between the members of the family.
I've got Dr House lined up next.
On netflix I'm watching House of cards.

Watched Anushka Shetty's Bhaagamathie on Amazon Prime and waiting for Padmaavat

On TV not watching anything other than the two Star Bharat shows and Mere Sai and BV on and off.
Mere Sai production values are really top class👍🏼 I like the scenes which are shot in the night and also all the scenes which are shot out doors in natural light. It is so refreshing to see TV shows which are shot in natural light.
Am glad for Star Bharat shows Nimki and Saam Daam which are climbing up on the TRP charts while retaining the essence of the show. Both have good writing and performances though not any where close to BV.

On the world offline summer is here already.

How are you all?
Have been binging on Downton Abbey these days. Now reached season 5.One more to go. So engaging and I lose track of time spent in front of the TV😆
Downton Abbey has so many "jodis to ship"

Amazon Prime has some really interesting shows.
I'm watching BV on Rishte and 2013 episodes of BV on Voot.
For some reason 2013 episodes seem much better now.

Also started watching a new show on Sony called Yeh Pyar Nahi to Kya Hai. This caught my attention mainly because the FL's name in the show is Reddy. But unfortunately those creatives didn't seem to know the difference between Tamilians and Telugus🤢 Hope they do something about their ignorance.

The show format is good. They are using Non linear narration to tell the story about the relationship between the leads. The younger pair of actors seem to be much better than the older ones though.
Don't know how long I'll watch this show though.

I'm liking Nimki very much.Hats off to the writers. The scenes are downright hilarious yet still they make us cringe at the oppression and discrimination faced by the FL. Like the FL characterisation too. She is neither Mahaan nor is she a greedy vamp who lacks ethics. Very refreshing to see an FL like this.

Planning on watching Padmaavat this weekend on Amazon.

Hi,
Aparna, there is nothing not to like about Downton Abbey 😃 . The first season was the best. And 6th was kind of wrapping up the loose ends. Good thing was that you end up with a feeling of satisfaction. There was such a hue and cry when Mary's husband died in car crash just before her birth. But there they do not bring back the dead. The actor had got a lucrative offer in Hollywood and did not renew his contract.

These days I am reading the Millenium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson The Girl with a ... Very engrossing. Am on my third. Will get hold of books 4 and 5 too that were ghost written. So I guess it is not a trilogy any more.

Just read that Aasiya's role in her new show has gotten scrapped as they down-sized the show. Too bad . Had watched a few episodes of the show to get a feel. It is well conceived and directed though a bit slow.

Watched some scenes of "Yeh Pyar Nahi to Kya Hai" that were aired before or after "Mere Sai". It appears to be decent as shows go in the beginning. But not sure that I will watch. Let us see.

Hi Artee😃
After watching death scene of Mary's husband I went and checked the net for reactions to that scene. Those reactions seemed so familiar.😆

I wanted to check Aasiya's show but didn't get a chance. Feel bad for her. Such a pity because she is a very good actress and now a days she's looking so good too.

HI All 😊
me sticking to Mere Sai and yeh undino 😛

mere sai - T has good screen space an am really happy to see her doing well 👏

yeh undino -- looks the leads have become my favs after Ansh, especially the FL - whose portrayal of a 16yr teenager is heart warming!!

Read abt the telugu/tamil goof up in the new sony serial.. cannot writers do some homework -
high time serial world has culture consultants in their shows - especially to get nuances of South Indian life correct if they plan to show SI families... so much of ignorance is painful!!

@Appy, Artee: You are watching Yeh Pyaar Toh Nahi also ? 😆 I caught up on the episodes over the weekend. I am still warming up to the leads, the ML acting is ok, the FL is very stiff for me. Is that how her character is written ? 😕 I like the younger version too more than the older one as of now. I like the ML's family dynamics, the mom and dad are really nice , give off lot of warm vibes. 👍🏼
Un Dino of course is on the top of the list to watch everyday 😳 The actors are really amazing, just can't appreciate the leads enough for the portrayal of their characters.👏 The supporting characters too are awesome, the only disappointing one till now has been Kitu Gidwani. Such a famous name and she has been such a letdown in the show.
