Finally watched Bahubali 2

Can't really say which is better between 1 and 2.

But can definitely say that I liked Amarendra and Devasena story much better than Avantika and Shivudu story from BB1😳

Absolutely loved the story of this couple. For some inexplicable reasons they reminded me of Anandi and Shiv😆This couple is just as noble and righteous as and also because of the way they stand up for each other and for their commitment towards society just like Anandi and Shiv probably that's why they seemed similar.

This is not my obsession for the cult show but just a reference point to illustrate how much I liked Amarendra and Devasena.

Loved the VFX.

Behind each scene involving CGI also is visible the effort SSR put into creating and designing those scenes.

Using palm trees as war weapons tells us the kind of imagination he has.😆

Strange but it was Kattappa and Sivagami who made me feel like crying when they killed Bahubali.My heart went out for them. Satyaraj and Ramyakrishna were just awesome in that scene.⭐️

All said and done this is not completely flawless.

Wish they had cut down the length of some of those battle scenes in to give more time for interactions between Devasena and Bhallala Deva as well as Mahendra Bahubali and Kattappa.

Otherwise the movie was really good. I didn't really feel that it was too long.

Amarendra Bahubali and Devasena story reminded me of Samson and Delilah a story from Bible.

Samson was a super strong man just like Bahubali.

But of course Devasena is a much superior as a human being when compared to Delilah and Amarenrda's devotion towards Devasena is totally justified as opposed to Samson's devotion to Delilah.

All those battle scenes despite being lengthy reminded me of all the stories I have read in childhood

Prabhas Anushka look divine as Amarendra and Devasena❤️

The censor board actually retained the lip lock😲

I loved the Titanic moment on Hamsanava 😛 😳 😆

Having watched it on big screen now I look forward to watch this movie on TV when it is telecast

Have been watching ZKM on and off.

Not liking this Nasty Nani track 🤢🥱

This angle is such an over used track in almost every daily soap🥱

I still have not come out of BB2 fever though.

I think Devasena character is one of the best characters written for FLs in Indian Cinema after a long long time. Last time I have seen such a towering character in Indian Cinema was Mother India.

FLs most of the time are either action queens or just used as flower pots to decorate the film.

Devasena is such a refreshing change from these two kinds of leads that populate Indian cinema or for that matter CINEMA as such.

It's been a long time as far as Telugu films are concerned where the FL had been an integral part of the story.

No wonder she reminded me of some powerful and memorable FLs of Indian Television.

Read in Telugu media that Prabhas has taken off to US for a holiday as well as to groom his looks for his forth coming film and declined KJo's invite for a Party being held in his and Rajamouli's honour. Hats off to this guy. He is not sucking upto BW biggies.👏

Appy, I havent come out of BB2 spell either😳😆

I have been pestering literally everyone with it🤣

apart from visual effects, I really liked the drama and screenplay in general..the plot made sense to me..

I always felt that considering how big WKKB question had become..whatever SSR shows..its not going to be enough to please people..but the fact that BB2 became huge - almost an unprecendented craze and is creating history is enough to vouch for the movie itself.

hype can only help you sustain in the opening weekend..then the movie was on its own..and yet its crossing insane numbers like a cakewalk

Devsena! Mahn that woman! I cant even begin to describe how much I am in love with her! and Amarendra Bahubali is the stuff made of dreams! gosh that man🤪

the death of his character is such a brutal plot point..! Brutal and what makes movie extremely special too..and like all great lovestories, Amar-Sena's lovestory too got a tragic yet immortal status

your right, I cried like a baby when Shivgami realizes what she did..blood on her hand..it was so superlative and overwhelmingly devastating..a criminal's guilt is always at a crescendo..

I dont know what the future holds..but Prabhas has already got his name etched forever in golden letters for Bahubali..so as every actor associated with the project..there are many conjectures that Prabhas has done more harm to himself than good..because he will get typecast..but I dont think so..yes nothing will come close to Bahubali and Amarendra Bahubali..but the overnight stardom surely must be something!

and I was excited to see Sahoo teaser too😆

Im in love with everybody - Rana, Ramya, Satyaraj, Naseer, even the guy who played Kumaar..😛 dont care for Tammy🥱😆

but Prabhas 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗and OMG ANUSHKA! what a regal and gorgeous lady! dammit she nailed Devsena! NAILED! subtle, powerful, such a brilliant depiction of variety of emotions! gosh she is amazing! bass!

Halwa - I am not much of a movie buff and this is the first time in so many years that I was actually eager to watch a film.😛

I have been watching Prabhas from the time he debuted in films. His acting skills were nothing to be talked about but all the same he was immensely watchable right from his first film onwards.

His dialogue delivery was worse than his acting skills😆

But in this film he was so good in both the roles. I am so impressed with they way he brought out the differences between father and son characters so well with his performance👏 His dialogue delivery has improved so much.I was bowled away by the way he said those lines during taking oath as army general⭐️

Anushka as everyone knows she has proven herself to be a great actress through so many of her performances.But here she owned every scene of hers.I could never forget her introductory scene in BB1. It is not just makeup and costumes but her entire performance tells us what Devasena went through all these years while being incarcerated.She didn't need lines to make us aware of what the character went through.

SSR - while trying to establish Avantika Mahendra/Shivudu love story in as little screen time as possible he didn't realise that he was damaging Avantika's character😛😆. But I guess this is where male and female perspectives differ.😆In interviews given to Telugu media he told how much thought went into the scene where Shivudu gives a makeover to Avantika.He probably didn't expect that it would be taken by viewers in a negative way😆

I think he designed Amarendra and Devasena story exactly the way it was shown in the film and he probably wanted to show the difference between the two couples and the individuals involved in these two relationships.

Prabhas I think he can't handle Hindi media and also he faces language barrier.He comes across as a well articulated guy in Telugu media especially in those one on one interviews he gave to various South Indian channels.

I think quite a few of his films were dubbed into Malayalam.Probably he is quite popular there.

I am sure he too is aware that Bahubali success cannot be replicated in his subsequent films.

But one thing is for sure.With a good story he can deliver.

Not watching ZKM these days. Current track too cliched.🤢

Only watching Piya Albela. It is cute. Lets see how long it lasts 😆

Watched BB2. First two hours were interesting. Then I got bored. Shivgami turned to be a shallow person after all. Not the strong lady who was impressive in BB1.

Wish we could have seen a bit more of the young Devsena. The part where he teaches her to shoot 3 arrows was lovely.😳

Still watching Gulaal. Reaching 75%. At a point where I Need to finish it. Lots of Flashbacks, so faster to watch 😊

I haven't watched ZKM since Nani entry I think. I can't believe they are making Shaurya Khanna a dummy in this family drama. Giving out lollipops with all kinds of romance.. kitchen romance, garden romance, poolside romance and what not.

Saw BB2 also finally !! 😃 I am glad I watched it in the theater. After I first watched it, I was like ok it is a one time watch. After few hours of watching it and I was recollecting all the scenes and damn those scenes were WOW ! I don't mind re-watching now..😳😆

The arrow fighting scene was too good. Beautiful to watch the 2 warriors. I would have loved to see Amarendra and Devsena interactions after they fell in love. Nothing much on that except for the song. When BB teased her about getting distracted she walked on him😛, there could have been so much more between them that I yearn to see. 😳

I liked the ending, the action just seemed perfect, people landing perfectly like cannons was so nice.😆. Warfare in those days were so innovative. In BB1 the fighting by the two princes aganist KalKeiya was getting a bit boring for me.

Amarendra was too good a human. He didn't want to raise his voice against his aunt. Is it because he didn't want to offend her since she brought him up ? the scene where he is waiting for Shivgami to come during the baby shower and the disappointment he gets when she doesn't talk to him and even during the coronation - Feel so bad for Amarendra.😭

Kattapa the loyal soldier said he would kill Amarendra but never bothered to clear the air. Hate these kind of so called loyalists. 😒

The dialgue when Amarendra says "Who can kill me when you are there mama" - Uff.. Got betrayed so badly. his final scene he died like a king. The stance he takes and dies like sitting on the throne was WOW ! ⭐️

The coronation scene of course was mind blowing just like the statue unveiling in BB1. ⭐️

Got bored of the war when the Kuntala kingdom was attacked. Was that the only way to show his introduction as Amarendra to the Kuntala people ?

I think Sivagami couldn't win the battle between her conflicting emotions and responsibilities.

As queen mother she took the right decision when she declared Amarendra as the king but the mother in her wanted to see both her sons happy.

She tried pacifying Bhalla with all kinds of things but he couldn't be pacified then she got to know that he was interested in Devasena so she decided to get her for him.

When Devasena rebuffed her offer her ego took a beating.

Probably she too became a bit unsure of her ownself and insecure in her relationships with Amarendra as well as Bhalla.

Finally she lost her battle with herself.

Amarendra knew why his mother made those decisions and he protested against those decisions in the only way he could by rejectingthe throne.He knew his mother would go through hell once she realises how wrong she had been and that's why he told Kattappa to take care of her.

I didn't like Amarendra rejecting the throne. Throne is not just about power but also about responsibility towards the people who look upto the king.Did people deserve a ruler like Bhalla?Wish Rajamouli found a way to retain Amarendra as King with Devasena as his queen and then bumped off Amarendra.

I think they invested so much to mount those battle scenes so they dedicated a lot of time for those scenes and that left very little time to narrate the story and deal with changing equations .

This is one film where the story and writing is much better than the execution of the same.

Will pen some thoughts on BB this weekend. The father Amrendar was a delight. The son was OK. Since he had no formal training in various skills, it is natural that he had to put in a lot more effort to kill Bhalla.

For me the script failed at some level.

In the end the story seemed to be a rehash of Gulaal. Two brothers coveting the same woman. The second brother tries to get the girl by treachery.

ZKM, why do they give a female lead exceptional talent and then not use it to further their show. 😕

I have just been going to the ZKM forum to read spoilers and see if anything sensible is airing. Did not click on any "Bold pictures" 😲 thread. Need sensible story and not bold romance.😛
