I agree! Friends make the best partners. For some reason, you're always slightly more comfortable with your friends than your partner. And when you're in a relationship with your friend, it gives that positive edge to your relationship!

That's my first requirement of a partner. A friend. I can't imagine being in a relationship with a person I don't even know beyond what they are showing to me. And with friends, you're always yourself. No matter what!

Therefore, 2!

Friends first is a MUST!!!! Absolutely!!!

I hated S when I met him. Then we became good friends and then best friends. That is a solid foundation.

I guess, the logic to that is that when the romance goes out the window, you still have something if you were friends first.

well that makes me super curious. Because according to all the exaggerated FFs I have read on IF, romance just doesn't finish! 😆😆

And when I say romance, I mean daily romance. Like you feel the need all the time.

Does it really happen that way? Because that feels just so damn exaggerated. To a point where a relationship starts looking platonic at times. Hollow. Shallow. There is nothing beyond sex, as if!

Never keep that as an option. It's not easy to go back being friends.

Romance is NOT easy! It takes work!! You work at it everyday. If not you, then him and vice versa. And I'm not talking about sex. That will eventually fade when you get very old. 😆

I'm talking about doing things for each other, holding hands, watching a movie, a romantic dinner that you made for the other, little kisses, giant bear hugs...all these are very essential...ALL your life...no matter how old you are.

Limon- You will be the reason behind my insane expectations. :'D
Ananya- I think, Limon can answer your query better. I honestly don't know. I an surrounded by relationships where they are parents of their children first & somewhere them being a couple gets lost in the din. But it also is a choice, I suppose. Whatever way you like your relationship to go.

Ananya & Archana,

Some explicit content ahead! 😳

Once you have kids, your relationship does take a backseat.

Being a new Mom is scary, physically demanding and downright exhausting! It's a man's job to understand his wife and support her.

It'll take a bit of time to get back into couple mode. Again, I'm not talking about sex. People can have sex anytime, anywhere after the baby is born...they can sneak in for a quickie. 😆 Both of them will usually be desperate to do it after a long pregnancy.

But being a couple is more than just sex. It's companionship, it's spending quality, alone time together, just talking, cooking, eating, going for a walk, watching a movie cuddled up under one blanket on a couch etc...you get the point!

So yes, Ananya, to answer your question, sex is important. Physical chemistry is as important as being emotionally connected. And each couple and their needs are different. Some are satisfied with just a few times a month, some want it all the time! Lol! That's it! I'll stop it here before I embarrass myself by going on and on shamelessly. 😳

Iconic characters, beautiful actors, good directors are what made IPK great.

It was amazing how those two would be goofing around on sets with Akshay and Daljeet one minute and doing intense scenes with great flair, the next! That's what amazes me...ther on-off switch! Phenomenal!

Tysm 🤗
Glad you agree :)

The star cast's positivity is what I love the most.
And tbh, it saddens me the way discussions take place in other threads where they just have to demean one lead to praise the other.
Without Khushi, Arnav is nothing and vice versa.
And when it comes to Sanaya and Barun, people should get a reality check that the success these two enjoy as on today is just because of IPK.

Nobody really knew Barun that well with his former stints and Sanaya used to be one among the Many pretty faces on Indian TV.
It was their magic TOGETHER that made them household names and got them where they are today.
