Director Meghna Gulzar's "Talvar", starring Irrfan Khan and Konkona Sen Sharma, is going strong with word of mouth publicity as the reality drama has amassed over Rs.17 crore since its release on October 2.
The film, which has received critical acclaim, unfolds three scenarios of the 2008 murder of 14-year-old Aarushi Talwar and her family's domestic servant Hemraj on the silver screen.
The film collected Rs.17.05 crore till Friday. And after seeing the response to the film, more screens were added to every theatre chain across the country since it's release, read a statement.
Confirming the news, Priti Shahani, the co-producer of "Talvar", said: "We are overwhelmed by the response that 'Talvar' has garnered in it's first week and are really excited for the days to come as the word of mouth around 'Talvar' is going really strong.
"In fact, we have increased the number of shows across every theater chain. People have loved the film and we are confident of the film having a long run," she added.
The film released alongside Akshay Kumar starrer "Singh is Bling" and Hollywood film "The Martian".
Every now and then we get to her the news, that politicians came face to face in Parliament or rallies and fought like anything due to disagreement over political differences. The fight even includes tearing off the clothes and throwing stones and other items on each other which is quite shameful for us. Undoubtedly, this unexpected behaviour of our politicians put a question on how wisely we choose them and appoint them as our representatives. Are they the right ones to hold that position?
The behaviour that they show is not less than a drama that we all witness in daily soaps and this made us think how our politicians can play different roles in daily soaps and which character would suit them the best.
Sonia Gandhi as Maya from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai:
If we look at her fashion statement, Sonia Gandhi is always seen well dressed and up to the mark. Maya in the serial as well has the same fashion statement that's simple but classy. Also, Maya in the serial guides her in taking decisions of his life, so does Sonia Gandhi do for Rahul Gandhi.
Narendra Modi as Babuji Alok Nath:
Our honorable PM, Narendra Modi would be the best to play the role of Babuji, in daily soaps. Just like Babuji, NaMo is also calm and patient and is always available to help everyone. Whenever anyone feels low or wish to discuss an issue, they approach the elderly people of family, especially Babuji. So is the case with our PM, as he is always available for the public.
Jayalalithaa as Baa from Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi:
Jayalalithaa could be seen ruling over years in her own area, so was the case with Baa. The old lady in the series played an important role, who used to hold up the family and find out the solution for all the issues, no matter what were the issues. Similarly, Jayalalithaa has been handling her party and her state with so much care and make all best efforts to solve every problem.
Rahul Gandhi as Rosesh from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai:
The character of Rosesh was woven around a boy who is an extreme follower of his mother and follow all her instructions.
Rahul Gandhi too has the same qualities, he's been guided and accompanied by his mother everytime. We all could see in the series that Rosesh was mumma's boy and Rahul Gandhi too is a mumma's boy.
Sushma Swaraj as Tulsi from Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi:
BJP leader Sushma Swaraj has been with the party for a long and yes she has turned old with the party. The same goes with Tulsi, as she too turned old with the serial, but always remained with the family to support them in every even and odd condition.
Sheila Dixit as Bhabhiji from Bhabhi ji ghar pe hain:
Sheila Dixit is the lady with pride and as we could see the character of Bhabhi ji (Tiwari ji's wife) has the same qualities. Though Bhabhi ji is a homemaker, yet she handles everything with calmness and in a patient manner. However, sometimes her senseless statements lead her to trouble, and the same has happened with Sheila Dixit in past. This for sure makes Sheila Dixit an apt person to play this role.
