exactly, and also the moot point of the plot is that a common man does not trust the police department..apaprently that was not established as well in Hindi version as it was in the Mohanlal one..and recently even Kamal Hassan (along with Gautami) acted in the Tamil remake of drishyam..Papanasam - it released already right?
so there was no way Vijay would have trusted the police with this case..in a way the fights he had with Gaitonde in the first half were a base to that..I loved how he covered up the crime, by following tricks used in movies😆

the loophole for me, was how Tabu got a brainwave (out of nowhere) of exactly what Vijay did..it was too farfetched, HER GUESS at it was a bit😕😕 I mean itna accurate prediction kaise ho sakta hai?😕 without any real basis in her hand of vijay's family actually lieing..

As for Tabbu 's brainwave , they used to show like this in films. Though neither she could have guessed it exactly in the same way nor Ajay could have covered all the points cops were going to inquire.

Btw why Vijay used to watch movies at his office all night ? He could have done it at home too. He was looking careless in that regard, not picking up the phone when family might have called.
