Zee TV is all set to launch their upcoming show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani on 27th July. The show which is about the journey of Gayatri (Drashti Dhami) from being a girl with no future since she is a manglik to becoming queen of Ranaji's (Siddhant Karnick) hearts and of the people of the land!

On her new look Drashti stated, "Post pre-independence this was a common look, so that's why my look looks similar to all those actress who has done a movie or show post-independence".

When asked Drashti about her role Gayatri and the similarities between Gayatri and Drashti she continued, "We are talking about two different era's but still there are similarities. Like she is excited, bubbly and stands for her rights, which I'm also and do stand for my rights also".
