You are correct here Ela.Jalal wasn't only Jodha's husband.He had many other wives ,other relations who would have many times questioned him ,If he had faced so many religious revolts then may times his near and dear ones would have pressurized him to change his liberal policies .I appreciate him here that still he stood for her and even willingly participated in Hindu festivals for the sake of all his Hindu wives .

agree Ela..Ela I never said its easy for him, what I said was he had the supreme authority. Definitely Power comes with a price, no doubts about that

Also I dont think audience just wants to see JO's achievements. I think that's an understatement Ela.. So far what achievements of Jodha have we seen. Nothing nah..Akbars at least is know to everyone, Jodha some of us know because of Abhays post. lately we saw MEK. other than that she stood by Jalal, did Pooja, sing Loris, was a maid to Ruks ...Recently we saw her helping awwam. nothing else right

Its EXTREMELY important that a girl/woman understands that frivolous, careless sex can lead to serious emotional damage and also ( in rare cases) an unwanted, unprepared pregnancy. In this case there are three lives that are severely affected. It is a woman that becomes preggers, not a man. If this should happen in an Indian setup, to a girl before marriage, the girls' life is tarnished forever. The man still goes scot-free. Sad but the truth. Equality does not work in such situations.

I also fully agree with you that it is women themselves who are misusing the idea of equality, without understanding the implications of the word 'equality'.

ah okay rasika..I remember those days in hostel too. We used to watch cricket and all together. its fun..I used to be a student and for students there was no TV. but there was a working womens section that had TV and we all would sneak in there...

Hi friends...Liked Ruk falling flat...No doubt they are trying to rebuild image of Salim by showing him respecting his parents and being responsible..and not showing closeness between him and Ruk..He called her once Rukaiyya ammijan yesterday...but still I am wary...Khair...kya kar sakte hain?
