Brief happenings..

1. Ruqs tries to instigate Salim.

2. Salim goes to Akbar in rage. Instead Akbar asks him what would Salim do if he was the King in this case. Salim calms down.

3. Salim goes to Jodha. He asks her why she hid this matter from him. She replies so that he does not feel bad about the issue. Salim remains calm here also.

Right now there is no MU between Salim and his parents. Ruqs plan did not succeed. :-P

4. Next day in court..Salim gives Jalal the answer of the ques which Jalal had asked him earlier. Salim says since Akbar is king hence he should take decision of kingdom not Iranian ruler. Every one is happy hearing this. Akbar declares that now Salim's Tajposhi will happen next day and even sends a invitation to the messengers of Shah i Iran via Sheikh Mubarak . :-P

5. Banter / Scene of Akbar - Jodha - Ruqs - Salima - MM - Gulbdadan...

In between there was one brief JA scene also...

The Iranian ruler creates some problem. Ruqs suggests to stop Tajposhi. Jodha denies doing so as that would hurt Salim. Jalal enters and says he will still carry on with the Tajposhi, come what may.

It was a fine episode overall.

I liked the fact that both Jodha and Jalal acted wisely in handling Salim and preventing any MU from creeping in. THis was so different from his childhood when they had NO clue how to handle him, which drove him apart from them.

But yesterday's handling made him understand their position as parents and as rulers and brought him closer to them. Parenting is a tough job - one wrong step can ruin a child for life and one right step can make his character extremely strong.

By giving Salim the opportunity to prove his maturity and pragmatism in handling the issue, Akbar not only got the chance to test Salim's capability in handling delicate matters of state but also another viewpoint on the issue. Since Salim echoed his own sentiments, he was cleverly able to pronounce a verdict that seemed to have originated from Salim but was really what Jalal wanted someone to say out loud on his behalf.

Jalal himself could not speak out in the same way without upsetting the status quo. He was hoping one of his ministers or ulema would suggest this, but they cleverly skirted the issue.

Shahbuddin is hoping for a war, it seems, as he seems to feel Shah-i-Iran will easily defeat Akbar. He seems to think a war would drive a wedge between Akbar and Salim too.

Ruq's plan backfired on her, just as in the good old days. This is a relief. If we are going back to the good days, then we can expect to see an ineffective Ruq whose plans never succeed. In between, it had begun to look like she could never fail, which had irritated me no end.

She is again planning to hurt Jodha for being the love of Jalal's life. Two indications. 1, In the ladies meet Jalal scene, she clearly says this to herself. 2, in the precap, she tries to stop the Tajposhi of Salim so that he turns against his parents, but both Jalal and Jodha seem keen to go ahead with the Tajposhi.

Remains to be seen what the Shah has done and what Akbar will do about it.

good episode... specially scene btw Jo and salim and Salim and akbar... atleast he understood that his parents r not against him nor it's his punishment... but rather both of them r teaching him in the best possible way to become a good king...

just loved Jalal's love and support for Jo and salim, loved Jo's trust in Jalal, and loved salim's understanding and supporting his parents

thnx fr d update I really dint gt wat u mentioned btw joja hamida gulbadan and salima 😕 was it ny kind of discussion on d iisue or sumthng...? I thnk I wil watch d epi and wil cum 2 knw...gd 2 knw ruks plan flopped thnk god dis time salim did nt bk answr his parents otherwise he wuld blindly tk evrythng fr grantd wat ruks said and misunderstd his parents...nywyz thnx once agn...

Couldnt watch the epi. Everytime my husband comes home early he watches mahakumbh so i have to wait to read wu n watch it next day.
Anyway yesterday salim n his dialogues reminded me y i had stopped watching the serial. Dont know if i can bear to watch salim n his bad attitute n his horrible dialogues anymore.

that scene was like , all begums r sitting with HB and Gulbadan, discussing abt salim's reply to Jalal's question.. and naturally Jo is very happy... just then Jalal too joins them, and HB and all praise him... and then he teases Jo, saying even if Salim's answer would have been diff, his (Akbar's) decision wouldn't have changed abt salim becoming walihaad... when HB asks the reason, he tells that Jo threatened him that if Salim is hurt by his actions then she won't talk to him... after listening this HB praises Jo saying she (Jo) rules over Jalal and wishes that Jo should always keep that hold on her husband...

and seeing HB and Jalal loving and praising Jo, Ruku is burning and vows to take her revenge
