@Dabbey-waley ki sad story: Well, Dabba-wala and I met for the first time outside a meseum. He works as a guard, usher, cloak-room attendant, and whatever else they need him to do at an art museum in the city. He had to do this second job because his research grant (for a PhD in Philosophy) was inadequate. He is also probably the most intelligent guy that I ever dated (but then again one can doubt this because who ever does a PhD in philosophy?!)... Well, anyway... the sad story is that the research grant ran out, and with having to work extra shifts at the museum to earn enough money, he was left with no time to work on the doctorate, and decided at the beginning of this month to quit working on the PhD. The decision was a very hard one, and he had a spell of depression after that...

Ab batao, how can anyone be hard-hearted after hearing this, huh? 😳😳

@Ex- and dabba: Nahin. Once bitten twice shy hoon main. Sab kuchh foil mein pack kar ke bhejaa mainey. 😛😛

News channel debates reminds me of what is happening in the AAP over the last few weeks...😕🤔

@AAP: Haan... It is terrible what that party has turned out to be. And in such a short span of time at that. I tell my mother every day: "Dekha? Aur do AAP ko vote!" 😛

It is disheartening that what seemed like the only polotical alternative before us (at least those of us wanting a change from the corrupt cronyism of the mainstream politics) has only just turned out to be a farce. For all of Kejriwals bluster about instituing a Lokpal, one only just needs to see what they did to their internal Lokpal when he dissented with Kejriwal himself. 🤢🤢

@News Channels: I have now watched two different anchors holding the debates. There is one on Times Now - Arnab Goswami, and another on Headlines Today - Karan Thapar. I was familar with Karan Thapar's edits from the news papers, and I really enjoy the debates that he moderates. There is no grandstanding, no pushing of opinions, just good journalism.

The other guy Arnab Goswami is the diametric opposite, and a total douche. Nobody can speak at all...

On the topic of Kangana Ranaut - I would recommend checking out the trailer of "Tanu Weds Manu 2"... She has NAILED the Haryanavi accent and how! Do check it out.

@Veep: As expected, curiosity got the better of me and I did end up catching the first episode ...mainly because it was being aired here on TV and I was surfing through the channels when I saw that it starts in a few minutes.😆😆

I haven't seen "30 Rock"...😳...maybe that's the next series I will start watching.

Nahin, I gave up on "Revolver Rani" after just watching the trailer. 😳😳 😛 😆😆

Instead, I watched "Bobby Jasoos". The film did not receive much praise in the reviews (correctly so), but the Hyderabadi Hindi was so charming... Besides, it had Hansa Parekh (from Khichdi) playing Viday Balan's mother. Both of them were so cute... 😳

@Veep: So, did you like it?

I read the review of the episode (somewhere, can't remember) and while the reviewer was apparently very impressed by the sharp writing and the great acting - the people commenting on the review seemed to not agree very much...

Dabbey-waley ko chai par bulaayaa hai mainey - but he and I are both preoccupied with work until the end of this month... and then again, it'll all probably just end with me getting back my dabba and him getting on with his own troubles...

I quite like the guy though...

And the ex-. There was nothing intended for him. I promptly sent him off after dinner. We were only meeting because after a million years, he finally decided to drop off a few books of mine that were still with him. That done, we'll probably never meet again. 😳

Chalo... Now let me go and check out the TWM trailers... 😃

Ohhh...I can only imagine how difficult it would have been for him to give up his PhD pursuit. 😕Sad! Met him outside the art museum? Kahaani badi filmy hai. 😊😳

@zubaan kainchi ki tarah chalti hai: surely that can NOT be a deal-breaker. 😆 It has to be the poor taste of men these days...or probably poor taste of men in that geographical area. 😆 They can't appreciate a sarv-gunn sampann naari. 😳😆
