Good morning Ayushi...My khatri friends tell me that Khatri's are not punjabis...but since few khatri's were connected with punjab so ppl got confused and started thinking of Khatris as punjabis...All these Kapoor's ( khatri) like to associate themselves with punjabis...Ayushi long back I had also read abt the birth of Khatri caste ( faint memory but I am rather interested in castes)) and it was mentioned not from punjab...and Todar mal is also called khatri not punjabi...Any way it is ur caste so you will be knowing better but here in UP my most Khatri friends do not regard themselves as punjabis..I request you to plz tell me more abt your caste as I love knowing abt castes and their origins...,One more thing one of my friend Rani Tandon says that traditional occupation of khatri was that of something like patwaris...and you are calling them Kshatriya...So plz also tell me abt it...

See Ela ,I know that internet sources are not to be believed,

But sometimes I just read them as a story and I read on another website( will PM you the name ) that Maansingh was killed and so Bhagwandas committed suicide.

I know this might be ridiculous but just sharing it.
