My honest 2 cents - I think audience these days are really smart, they are not going for movies which have nothing to show even if it is promoted over the top. Case in point, Happy Ending and Kill Dill - Both of them had songs promoted 24/7 on various channels, high hype surrounding the movie and known actors whom the common audience has already seen. But still both of the movies did pathetic at BO and that is because the WOM was very bad for both of them and the reviews generally panned the movie.

So all in all I think MAMR has a chance if the movie is as good as the trailer and the reviews are good for it. For me I am having bare minimum expectations from the movie and that is Barun getting good reviews by the critics. I expect the movie to be decent at BO but honestly with AJ and PK on either sides, there is no way MAMR would be minting money. It is also good in a way because when the dice are heavily loaded against then you are a winner even if you scrape through. MAMR will introduce Barun to the BW going audience who might not have watched IPK on TV screen and if he is a good actor the audience are going to follow him in his next ventures. All in all I feel Barun has to start his career from scratch and MAMR might be the first step in that direction.
