The film will work if it is promoted well( which in my opinion it is not...but understandable due to the fact that it's a new ph) and if it has great WOM due to content...baaki...general viewing public doesn't care...my opinion

SSR leaving wasn't such a controversial topic. What i mean to say is, when Barun is first noticed by BW audience, they would sure want to find about his pre-BW career (as for example- Fawad), and the'll know that he was a very popular star in TV and with that invariably comes the exit-drama. So it is better to give them the right impression is what i feel. Once he is established in BW all these wouldn't matter.

I have always felt that Barun will be starting from scratch with his BW debut - the few thousands of online fans dont really make a difference (unless it is the positive vibes working!). I doubt if the non-TV watching audience has even heard of Barun or MAMR or any delays. He will have to create his fanbase from zero. And that can only happen if the movie works and the word of mouth feedback is strong enough. I wouldnt have thought so earlier, but the trailer and the pics have really heartened me (Barun's favorite word!). If the movie is anywhere as good as the trailer suggests, then MAMR might just be a surprise sleeper hit. Fingers crossed!
