Serendipity Discussion Thread & CC || Open To All

Hello, wonderful readers!

If you're on this thread, I'm guessing you know me, but if you don't I'll introduce myself anyways <3

I'm Zee (otherwise known as ZitOnThyKnee) and I write a FF on this site called Serendipity. The story has garnered a great response and my readers have showered me with more love I could have ever hope for.

Unfortunately, however, I'm in my junior year of college... and I'm a double major and a minor. So my work load is heavy and unpredictable. It's going to remain that way for quite some time.

Recently, I received a message from one of my readers, who recommended that I create a thread where people who read the story can interact, ask questions and basically rant about how tardy updates are if the need arises. I'll be more than happy to stop by this thread once in a while, and alert you guys whenever I'm exceptionally busy with schoolwork and other unfortunate situations.

Now, I'm not arrogant enough to think many people will be here. I'll be surprised if even 5 of you guys join.

Serendipity, after all, is not NEARLY as good as other fan fiction on this site. But if this CC helps even a few people, it'll make me very happy and take a burden off my shoulders.

So here we are, a CC to discuss Serendipity!

Please feel free to post anything in relation to the story... compliments, questions, predictions and criticism alike.

And also feel completely free to discuss anything else as well! Other FF, IPKKND, Barun, Sanaya, etc. I love making new friends with common interests 😊

I know there are going to be people greatly disturbed by an Arshi reunion. Who knows except for Zee how that will happen but she does stick to realistic scenarios so I've been trying to think of possibilities. One that comes to mind (paraphrasing) is: Arnav goes to rehab/AA, sobers up, apologizes to Khushi, she tells him to go to hell, she and Tarang meet with an accident that kills Tarang and leaves her alone in serious need of help, and Arnav uses that golden opportunity to show her he's changed. However she does it, Zee intends to build the story with careful character development so it will be worth the wait.

Some things that have been written along the way that have stuck out for me. Don't know if they are red herrings, irrelevant, or important forshadowing.
1) Khushi telling her father that she will come back when she is herself again or something like that.
2) Does Arnav smoke? Just curious on that. Khushi was grossed out that he reeked of smoke and alcohol but didn't know if that was from the bar atmosphere clinging to his clothes or on his breath.
3) Khushi tells Arnav that Tarang has the balls to go with his gigantic d**k, enabling him to admit when he's not perfect. A casual comment just meant to hurt Arnav or a slip of the tongue? How not perfect are we talking here?
4) So, Tarang saw Arnav at the pool and Arnav saw Khushi at the pool, close enough to read a tattooed name under her breast. At first I thought Khushi must not see him, but I'm thinking now she has to if she's that close and Tarang saw him.
5) I got a weird feeling when Tarang threatened to kill Arnav. It was the way his eyes changed maybe. When Khushi made the same threat she said "I will end you." Like Prentiss in Criminal Minds did, "Come near my team and I will end you." There was a sinister vibe to that exchange that seemed beyond defending your wife.
6) Tarang is a psychiatrist. Random occupational assignment or will that be important?

I'm so happy you started this thread! I do actually have a couple questions and whenever you get a chance to answer them, I'm in no hurry. I have said in a couple other comments, I for one hope you just take your time, put your studies and health first and update as you can. I'd rather read quality over quick updates and I would hate you to feel pressured into writing a different story than what you set out to do. My questions are these: 1) Will Arnav ever become someone that we care about? Right now, as someone said, it's easier to hope for an Arhi reunion because we love the original Arnav and Khushi together and it's hard to hate the Barun Arnav. However, this Arnav is an ass and an idiot. My second question is one that begs a spoiler of sorts and other readers may not want to have that at all. If you feel inclined to PM me with the answer so as not to spoil it for anyone else, I'm fine with that. Second question is: is this an Arshi story? As in, Arnav and Khushi together at the end in whatever way you choose to get them there? If you don't feel comfortable sharing that, that's fine too and I completely understand. I just can't believe how much that question stresses me out. Best of luck on upcoming papers and exams!!!!!

Wonderful!!!! Thx for this balm ( I ll call it that ):) ... Much needed.. I have no questions as u have already answered them.. And let me tell u one thing Zee- this FF is on a dif level... For a bunch of us .. We dream, think etc etc about it a lot more than we should ;) but we enjoy that... Thank u for this amazing work.. Once done, this would be something I would grab it off the shelf of a store...

Oh!! I am not very excited to hear that Tarang will not stay with Khushi till the end. of coz this is and Arshi story but this Arnav is a Psycho and Tarang is the psychiatrist. 😉

Yes, Tarang's profession has intrigued me. Is it important? Is he practicing in NY? He has been a mystery other than that he has been extremely patient with Khushi and fell hopelessly in love with her. Now, I really want to know more. We of his past about his parents. but his present is a mystery.
