script and story is the most important. it is like the foundation to a house. make it wrong and everything is wobbly and likely to go kaput.

take all those love stories like say shakespeare, the guy has written plays with very little stage directions and look how much that has been used and re used and still people go to watch it because of the story and the script. Hamlet is not as famous as his words are "To be or not to be".

Nobody realises romeo and juliet are just kids but their script and story is such it has lasted throughout for a long time regardless of who they are and who plays them!

I guess I am saying faces fade but stories/words remain. Although age appropriateness should also be a factor especially nowadays. You get very little children friendly films anymore even with disney. all those smart aleck comments and stuff, the innocence is fast disappearing.

I dont understand why people misues their freedom of speech so much

Ohhh God .. she is a Bong Girl right n Bong girls will just stay million yards away from such flashy tacky saris .. Bongs has a very decent choice .. they love classy n elegant looks .. no sparkly loud dressing is so not Bong/Kolkata thing

Now tell me its not a racist thing to say ? On the top of it she argues she was only telling how the thing is not bengali at all.😆

And yes Shakespeare series are just one of the stuff ..have u seen how some books when made int movies lose their charm ...I say some n not all ..

i am not sure about it being explicitly racist but definitely biased. i could equally decide to wear any dress from any culture because of my tastes. hmm ignore it. but i do agree freedom of speech is sooo misused usually by trolls i have noticed.

Aapko pata nahi kuch mahino pehle ek thread bana tha 'Not so Bengali' which said how the serial has failed miserably in portraying Bengali culture. Someone came forefront supporting the show saying how Dayal's room has so many books which shows how inteliigent Bengalis are.😆

I am a Bengali myself but I dont think this is the right way to say the dress code wasn't Bengali.

i don't know about the pen being mightier than the sword. you can easily wipe out people using just hands. martial artists know that but yes words have more influence than swords. take a look at the communist manifesto by karl marx and how much effect that had or even mein kampf and the effect of that! let's not forget the bible; it is one of the most printed books in history.

definitely true about words making you. you spend an entire life time building a reputation and then a few words stain you and bring you down for example i.e. a scandal.

movie adaptations are tricky because by doing that you limit the experience of the book to one set of audience. when people read a book they can imagine everything their way; when you make it into a movie you have to use a specific (man i forgot the word for this lol - oh yeah interpretation!) interpretation that not everyone can agree on and hence the book gets destroyed and changed. however book lovers will always return to the book regardless.
