Aankhen nikal kar gotiyan khelunga.

Yeh Vasco De Gama ki gun hai.

Kiske mama ki gun hai? 😕

And the scenes where there were no dialogs. Haye Ram, that Phone out of Order scene. 😆 "Kuch sunai nahi diya, par yeh zaroor kaha hoga, Smart boy."

IPK immortalized 2 songs for me!!

"Teri Meri" and

"Namak Ishque ka"-

"Teri MEri.." toh sounded original wonly made for Arnowji and Khushi!!

When I saw the original later.. I was like .. "Meh.."

Namak Ishque ka was not as epic as Teri meri but still much better than original..

Zubeida- I loved :Dheere Dheere gaun.. and "Mehendi hai rachnewali " others I may have missed..

Oh I absolutely love both the movies and their songs. All of them. In my school as was often called on mike to sing, and I always ended up singing Dheeme Dheeme Gaun.
But I also loved that Lata Mangeshkar song, So gaye hain, Kho gaye hain, Dil ke aphsaane.

Parineeta, oh dude, how can I forget, these two movies should feature in my list of favorites. Apart from Pihu bole, I love love, Suna suna man ka aangan. My personal favorite from Sonu Nigam, I guess I haven't ever heard him better than this (save Veer Zara).

And yeah, Raat humari toh, chaand ki saheli hai, kitne dino ke baad aayi woh akeli hai. Mesmerizing.

I never saw the original, I couldn't bring my self to. But it must have been meh. I agree Watson, Teri Meri is wonly made for Arshi.

And Namak Isque ka. Frankly I had never liked it much before IPK and now I absolutely love this song. But in addition to that, Saiyaan too now is one of my favorites. Before IPK, I had never really paid much attention to the lyrics but now, I cannot help but rave over them.

Tu jo chule pyaar se, araam se mar jaun...

And I'll also add Aja piya to the list. I always loved that song, but now it's even more special. I also love that scene alot.

Sukh mera lele, Main dukh tere le lun,
Main bhi jiyun, tu bhi jiye.

@ Ruchi: Bharat humko jaan se pyara hai is very poignant. Also Ay mere Vatan ke logon. I am reduced to tears. Hamesha.

Well I used to like Saiyya even before. I saw a kathak performance on song "Saiyan" in boogie woogie and I loved it. I loved lyrics and kailash Kher's voice and tune evrything.
But I somehow didnt think Saiyan suited to that particular situation. Maybe I was too distracted whats gonna happen in the hut!! 😆
